An American size 8 is the equivalent of a UK size 12, and a size 10 is 14 so pretty spot on I'd say =) I admit, the use of 2,4,6,8,10 etc rather than European 38,40 etc. does make it difficult to differentiate the two on international sites.

Exactly. If you don't want a guy looking at your cleavage, then don't wear a low-cut shirt! In reality, women really do like the attention, even if they claim otherwise. Doesn't mean they want to have sex with you exactly, but it feeds their egos that men would want them. Of course, groping someone isn't the same thing because it's physical invasion of private space. But looking, IMO, is perfectly legit.
Obviously when men say "curvy" they don't mean rolls of fat. The curves have to be in the right places, primarily breasts and hips. It's that accentutaed hourglass shape that is particularly attractive to a man. Women like men to have broad shoulders and V-shaped torsos, no curves. It's just biology and instinct.
I know, but I just don't think that men should claim they want their women to have "more meat on their bones" when they mean that they want women to have more breasts and hips. While a few women are lucky to have their extra weight distributed in their "better" areas, gaining weight for most women = fatter thighs, arms, and stomach. There is no way for women to "make" themselves more curvy without breast implants or rib reduction, because people are born with set body types and limitations.
Well, all it really takes is a healthy diet and aerobic excercise. Girls today eat far too little. They have about as much feminine appeal as a broomstick. If they just ate normally, not crap processed foods, and took up an athletic hobby, they'd be fine.
Like I said before, a healthy diet and aerobics will definitely tone a woman up, but it won't always expand her cup size, if that's what you're looking for. Some painfully thin women have huge racks (ie: Lindsay Lohan), and some "healthier" women have smaller breasts (ie: Rihanna). If men could appreciate healthy women, regardless of whether they look "curvy" or not, that'd be more progressive.
Okay, maybe not "progressive." Try "politically-correct." I have nothing against men who like big breasts, but I was just saying that Marilyn Monroe's "healthy" body type is equally as unrealistic as any skeletal fashion model's. Actually, I think most men are aware of that, but it's the women that are still deluded.

Not in 1960. Around 1963, people began noticing that JFK didn't wear a hat. So that was part of the cause of the change in fashion. But well into the early 1970s many well-dressed men wore hats.

Christina Hendricks and Scarlett Johansson certainly don't have prepubescent-boy bodies, which is very good, but I doubt people would be drooling over them if they didn't have the giant racks that they have. Exactly. If you don't want a guy looking at your cleavage, then don't wear a low-cut shirt! In reality, women really do like the attention, even if they claim otherwise. Doesn't mean they want to have sex with you exactly, but it feeds their egos that men would want them. Of course, groping someone isn't the same thing because it's physical invasion of private space. But looking, IMO, is perfectly legit.

Obviously when men say "curvy" they don't mean rolls of fat. The curves have to be in the right places, primarily breasts and hips. It's that accentutaed hourglass shape that is particularly attractive to a man. Women like men to have broad shoulders and V-shaped torsos, no curves. It's just biology and instinct.

I know, but I just don't think that men should claim they want their women to have "more meat on their bones" when they mean that they want women to have more breasts and hips. While a few women are lucky to have their extra weight distributed in their "better" areas, gaining weight for most women = fatter thighs, arms, and stomach. There is no way for women to "make" themselves more curvy without breast implants or rib reduction, because people are born with set body types and limitations.

Well, all it really takes is a healthy diet and aerobic excercise. Girls today eat far too little. They have about as much feminine appeal as a broomstick. If they just ate normally, not crap processed foods, and took up an athletic hobby, they'd be fine.

Like I said before, a healthy diet and aerobics will definitely tone a woman up, but it won't always expand her cup size, if that's what you're looking for. Some painfully thin women have huge racks (ie: Lindsay Lohan), and some "healthier" women have smaller breasts (ie: Rihanna). If men could appreciate healthy women, regardless of whether they look "curvy" or not, that'd be more progressive.
Of course, men are still entitled to like boobs.

It IS, to a certain extent, instinctual. A man with broad shoulders and powerful limbs looks like an efficient hunter and protector. A woman with broad hips and a healthy distribution of fat looks more likely to carry a successful pregnancy. But yes every culture has a unique perspective on attractiveness for both sexes. In some African tribes a woman will not find a husband unless her vagina has hacked to pieces and sewn up with string. It's strange, but to each their own, eh?
