I don't know about you all, but to me food had been and will always be one of the most important elements of life to me. I like Bourdain's books and shows. Why? Because it's about shedding light upon different cultures (apparently there are other cultures outside of America) through generally good food (different food types as well). He is funny in his sarcastic and strange ways. If you don't like it, that is fine, just find a different show and be a vegetarian (go watch vegan black metal chef).

Some of these shows are also focused on traveling, so there is that factor as well, for those of us who don't get to travel much.
