I don't think her message is that bad...she is taking on the catholic church which I think is good...I agree that she may be somewhat ignorant for for believing in God but at least she doesn't believe in following the bible's ridiculous messages on homosexuals and slavery and every other crazy thing the bible says...there could be some kind of higher power out there but she should admit like the rest of us logical people that she does not know...but she works for the church so that wont happen

It's like watching a bunch of adults play pretend tea party. Everyone is drinking the imaginary tea and people that don't believe in the tea are seen as the outcasts. What a crazy retarded world we live in.

I agree I THINK it's pretend too...but do you KNOW without a shadow of a doubt that there isn't some kind of God out there...no, no one does...no one knows for sure one way or the other...and I'm not talking about a Christian God or any other religious God...I'm just talking about some kind of higher power...and it sounds to me like all she is saying is that she believes in a God and that Jesus was a good man and that is all...that belief doesn't have to be based on the bible

Sorry but that's what an argument from ignorance is. You cannot say jsut because there is a fraction of percentile chance that a God exists therefore we shouldn't deny it. That doesnt make any sense.

There is a small chance that there IS tea is the imaginary tea game, but that doesn't say anything about it's ACTUAL existence.

I KNOW there is no God as much as I KNOW there is no tea. Not that there isn't a chance there is, but that chance is so remote it's not even a possibility worth exploring

I just mean it's good to hear someone say that they can believe in God without believing the bible is the word of God...belief in a higher power doesn't have to come directly from the bible...religion or a belief of God will never go away in our lifetime but at least some of the religious leaders are putting aside the most ridiculous parts of religion...it's at least a step in the right direction...it may be a small step but at least it's a step

If you don't believe the bible is the word of God, then your beliefs are just based on nothing. You just made them up.

At least the crazy literal believer make some logically acceptable steps in that they belief the bible is the word of God, therefore they follow the word of the bible.

A Christian who doesn't believe in the bible is like a mathematician who doesn't believe in the prime number. They DO NOT follow.

I don't believe in anything either...my point was that a belief in God does not have to come from the bible...the belief in a Christian God may be based on the bible but not a belief in a God in general...and I'm not sure if she even says anywhere in there that she is a christian
