One interesting idea i've had for a while for GoW4, is that his daughter Calliope comes up from the underworld as a teenager, and is approached by the soul of her uncle Deimos who tells her that Kratos' body was taken by beings with animal-heads(egyptian gods) and vanished to the south. She finds the blade of olympus which grants her godly power making her a demigod as well, and must first travel through a shattered Greece fighting the few remains of the greek monsters and Athena.

The reason I dislike the end is because it is incredibly one sided in its "does man need God?" argument. There is no debate or compromise to its points. It just has to be right because it's right. It is also bad because it made Kratos, who had our sympathy in the first game, completely unlikable. He is willing to doom mankind to get vengeance and then kills himself to deny taking responsibility for causing all of these problems. He did more harm than the Gods did! That is why I dislike the end.

@johnsw224 Well when Kratos opened Pandoras Box to destory Ares in GOW1, The Gods of Olympus were infused by the dark evils, they were possessed by it and couldnt control it, and that, Zeus and the other Gods were using him as a tool to finish jobs, Even before he opened the box, he was used, betrayed etc. Thats what made his rage more raging and decided to get revenge on Zeus and Olympus. And at the end, thats how it happened. He took his own life.
