  • Unforgotten !

  • This is used in "Millenium" by Robbie Williams.

  • Best Bond theme ever.

  • @DAVEUK1234 ...I totally agree...I was so young when I "fell in love with it" that I didn't even know who James Bond was..lol...but loved the song anyway...haha

  • You Only Live Twice or so it seems,

One life for yourself and one for your dreams.

You drift through the years and life seems tame,

Till one dream appears and love is its name.

And love is a stranger who'll beckon you on,

Don't think of the danger or the stranger is gone.

This dream is for you, so pay the price.

Make one dream come true, you only live twice.

  • Make one dream come true... you only live twice.

  • Such beauty in a song. I love the oriental sound it has, mysterious and compelling. Everything a Bond song should be.

  • That and Goldfinger are just superb!

  • YEA BABY YEAA!!!!!

  • did north korea really attack south korea..........or was it SPECTRE........maybe SMERSH...,,,,,in this film (You Only live Twice) the americans thought they were being attacked by the russians and the russians thought that the americans were attacking them.......???

  • "Life seems tame"........until the unimaginable and several miracles happen.......then the expected and the totally-unexpected intertwine and mix.......and since the 1967 release of this cut, they've been the norm.......Never would I have predicted the last 43 years.......beyond my wildest dreams!!

  • @toddwindyhill I agree. wtf? this was so simple, that time, and then, the acceleration of events. This is so a singular time in history.

  • @lensjockeyvideo: And love IS a stranger.....It beckoned me on, but happy to say, I didn't think of the danger on many counts, and there was plenty of it......and dreams did come true in spades!!

  • Once this song (theme) and performance by Nancy Sinatra enters your brain , it will stay with you forever. 43 years (the Vietnam Era) now and it is still as current as the day that it was released. Need more music and movies like this.

  • Love this theme.

  • Music is for everyone, and its beauty, twice and more in this song, transcends political, geographical, and racial differences and boundaries......... make this dream come true!

  • 1967........I just had a chill........the song is attached to the year and the events that occurred in it........working at Fenway......HS Graduation......the sea, the ships, the ladies, the money and the World Series in Boston.......and BC in Chestnut Hill......is that enough??

  • This film had ninjas, space ships and an bald evil man with a cat; when you're 7 it kinda makes it one of the best movies ever. (not that I'm 7 anymore)

  • PS ...and the lyrics were by Leslie Bricusse. lovely...

  • great theme! director Lewis Gilbert's action direction is plodding and lame, but his obvious romance with the east is charming and contagious... kudos to composer John Barry as usual...

  • Watashi no kodomo no jidai ni kono uta o kikimashita sorakara Nippon he ikitai

kotogakko ato de beikoku gaigunjin ga iro soshite Nippon he ittakotogaarimasu. Nippon de Kyokushin to Uechi Ryu ya Kobudo no renshu o shimashita.Kono uta ga suki desune. Sinatrasan

    Domo arigatogozaimashia (Osu)

  • I am in Tokyo right now.

  • wonderful ;)

  • who's the singer?

  • Nancy Sinatra

  • @retsiembrU tnx..

  • its ok,

(and she is the daughter of the legendary Frank Sinatra,

and her mom is Nancy Barbato :)

  • @retsiembrU yah.."nancy with a laughing face"...

  • She couldnt sing if her childrens lives depended on it, but theres a certain charm about her!

  • The singer is Frank sinatra´s daugther.

  • @Brumbazzen It's beautiful:)

  • in my opinion, (but hey, who am i ?)

This is the (Grand- ) Mother of All James Bond movie themes

    pure bliss

  • And the best Bond movie, i still remember watching this movie as a kid on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, 1:19 shoked me i think i never seen a woman dying in that kind of horrible way until this movie. I loved being a kid and enjoying James Bond and the Pink Panter movies

  • I so agree with that retsiembrU.

  • Apparently,Richard Todd,(Dam Busters),who recently died, was Ian Fleming's first choice to be James Bond, but due to scheduling conflict he had to turn it down.

The role went to S.C.,and the rest is history.

  • best bond theme ever. don't make them like this anymore...especially that start.

  • This one and Diamonds Are Forever,Live and let die and Quantum of Solace are my favorite.

  • My predilect Bond's theme..

  • Nancy was very hot at that time, as a singer and otherwise!

  • Was? She will always be hot!

  • Is this original version, from the moving picture???

  • yes

  • Apparently,Ms.Sinatra was so nervous about recording this song, being physically ill on numerous occasions, the finished product was more or less cobbled together from bits and pieces of recordings she was able to complete.

But it doesn't show in the finished product, which is terrific.

  • it's a beautiful tune but cluttered production. the ideas are all good, but need to be measured out a little better. John Barry was a genius for certain.

  • Not one of Connerys best Bonds but certainly one of the most memorable and haunting themes.

  • Best Bond theme by a mile

  • @TedRob1958 it transcends Bond, or any other movie opening.

  • Good video. Terrific music , along with Goldfinger probably the Bond themes. From a time when the Bond films were exceptional. After Roger Moore left they went downhill.

  • Brilliant song from the brilliant movie. Nancy Sinatra's title song was one of the most memorable theme songs ever made

  • You said it perfectly! I regard it as the most beautiful piece of music I ever heard.

  • Sean connery should have played bond up to A view toa kill, he still looked fine in 1983's Never Say never again. But he was tired of playing Bond at least we got Diamonds are forever from him, Sorry George Lazenby

  • LOL thanks for making me laugh today.

Moore did some great Bond movies especially in the begining but Sean Conery is the real essential of the Bond character.

  • TOYOTA 2000GT

  • this song makes my dog go whoop whoop....

  • This song makes me want to mount my dog...make her go whoop whoop

  • Great James Bond early soundtrack.. Orchestra terrific in this song.,

  • its to bad they cant make em like they used to!

  • what song did robbie williams use "you only live twice" for?

  • millennium

  • 007

  • well thank you so much....lol....it keeps robbie where he is....in fat boy heaven.....and nancy enjoying a class act lagacy....keep smiling..xxx

  • Car being dropped into ocean & attack on volcano....truly epic scenes imo.

  • and that prick robbie williams took this and fucking ruined it,,,,,fat bastard pie eating take that wannabe.

  • lol a most magnifcent discription of of a human that i have heard in a long time ( a fat bastard pie eating take that wannabe ) and i agree he did fuck it up.

  • I think Kanye West ruined Diamonds are Forever muuuuuch worse than Robbie Williams ruined this one

  • We've got stars directing our fate. And we're praying it's not too late, Millenium. Is that the song you're talking about?

  • Awesome.... Asian girls are the best (speaking as one who has a Korean girlfriend). This is also one of my favorite Bond films (second only to Goldfinger). And one can never say enough about Nancy Sinatra.... Maybe I'm crazy but I prefer her songs over her Dad's.

  • This is along with goldfinger and OHMSS the best bond song.

  • Now, if there some Japanese female pop idol can sing it in Japanese and in English for an updated version.

  • I just heard an intrumental version from the soundtrack here

  • where can i get just the instrumental of this

  • John Barry - the master composer!

  • That had to be my fave Bond movie! ;)

  • Bellissima colonna sonora!

Uno dei migliori film di 007.

  • Great song!

  • One of the best James Bond title song!!!

  • I agree, along with 'Spy who loved me' and 'Moonraker' they sure don't make them like they used to.
