Telecasters , strats and les pauls are so fucking overrated! That's why I prefer mainly shortscale fender guitars and almost exclusively.plus they look so fucking stylish too. I love this dude's reviews because he really showcase the shit out of my favorite guitars.
nice man... fukin mint!... im lookin to buy a Squier Classic Vibe duo-sonic.... but i want a tremleo bridge for it!... what bridge + tremolo did u buy for it mate?
He said he used a tornado bridge I believe. I just got a Squier Classic Vibe Duo Sonic on ebay. Plays really nice now that I got it setup properly. Pickups sound really nice and the guitar rocks. I hope to do a demo video very soon since there are almost none on youtube right now.
nice man... is it worth the price?.... and would you consider puttin a vibrato on it or a bigsby or something?..... i love the student styled guitars beter than a tele or a strat!.... whats your opinion... can you put a video on soon because i am REALLY considering buying a Duo-sonic
So far, I think it's worth it. My duo sonic was used and came with .11 gauge strings that I immediately changed to .10s and I had to resetup the guitar because of the decreased string tension, but she sounds and feels good now. Never played one before I bought it. Pickups are a nice suprise. Love all three pickup positions, especially the middle.I think you could add a tremolo. The mustang trem would probably work fine. You might have to alter the metal pickguard. (which I love)
not so good on the sound.. but i love it...

that thing sounds freakin sweet, man!
I'm building something similar at the moment. from some 63/64 fender body and neck parts.. still looking for some other bits.
those pickups do sound surprisingly decent.
Great job on the semi-see-thru paint job, and hand made guard, too

what was the total cost for all the parts, body and neck included?

I built a Jaguar with a 1964 neck. Pain in the ass. Hard to stop the ground noise. Anyway, great project.
