I do not personally believe that age has much to do with spelling. I have been typing grammatically correctly on the internet since I was 12 years old. Your own argument here can be used against you. You say that negative comments about the Sphynx causes blood pressure to rise, leading the poster to become "blind with rage" thus causing spelling mistakes, however this is not a fact. Not everyone will react like this - perhaps just a select group of people.
