I think this is extremely helpful, but you guys are so cute, charming, brilliant and, of course, ravishing that my troglodytic nature precludes focusing. And I just adore that you're both brunettes. Hey, maybe you could discuss joinder of parties with me? We can forget Rules 18(a) and 20 and just focus on Rule 19...after all this is definitely compulsory :-)
Sounds like another case of "simple until a professor overcomplicates it".
You're bringing up "PV " and OOM" b/c ur centering on"what happens if u don't know the backstory?".Then, yes, u look to see how the statements stand on their own. When we KNOW the motivations of both parties, there's no need for anything probative (that's an evidence). If granny was going to give the $ as a gift, it can't count as consideration. Don't worry about evidence. Worry about what the law actually is. Thanks!!
I love it! Thank you, ladies. Question though. Please be patient with me since I am a 1L student trying to keep up with everything. So, here goes:
Since mutuality is based on objective, outward manifestations by the parties, why would the back story as to why Grandma is giving the kid $5.00 matter? Would it be for probative value. I hope my question makes some sense.
Love the videos by the way!
P.S. I would walk on a tightrope to see a guy sing Liza Minelli...:-)
This is absolutely brilliant!! Finally, a real discussion on what's important about consideration - in ENGLISH!! Thank you so much for making such a seemingly difficult concept easy to understand. I'm going straight to your website to find out how I get Lawyer Up and have my professors language translated into something I can understand.
