The whole story is because the fact the 5100 has a hardware emulator that's partly compatible with 370 microcode this was done to save on cost and time getting APL on the machine.
I feel the presence of the much more compatible IBM cards for desktops and hercules software emulator pretty much shoots down the IBM 5100 theory.
The 5100 series was a family of 16 bit machines using a processor chipset called palm.
The first was the 5100 followed in 1978 by the 5110 and then the 5120 in 1980.
But the 5110 logo does not look like that it's a solid font is used for 5110 only the letters IBM above it are made in that dashed font.
As for fixing old mainframes in the future IBM did make a 370 compatibility card for MCA machines and there's the Hercules 370 emulator for windows and linux.

Time travel was invented, according to Titor, in 2034, not 2036 as you are claiming. 2036 was the year Titor left from. And just to clear it the rest, 2038 is the year UNIX's Date resets back to 1970 or rather its 32bit Binary Code resets. Which is NOT a fixed problem. 64 bit is the solution, but converting UNIX programs from 32 to 64.... don't think it ALL has been done.

Google stores data that is recently used/updated/re-posted... etc. Also Google started in 1998, and wasn't popular world wide until 2001-2002. It is almost impossible to find information on people who have posted in the year 2000-2001 USING GOOGLE, however is possible if you search the site the OP was on. But will you find original post that old?

Finally, "Titor" my be a clever tale weaver, but is very intelligent in accordance to the practicalities of Theoretical Physics.
Question I have:
CERN is now discovering "mini black-holes", how long has that information been public, what I read was from 2008?
The LHC was build in 2008. This is 7 years after Titor!

Fact #3 (Which makes me wonder if you even read through the JT/TT posts...):
Time travel was invented, according to Titor, in 2034, not 2036 as you are claiming. 2036 was the year Titor left from. And just to clear it the rest, 2038 is the year UNIX's Date resets back to 1970 or rather its 32bit Binary Code resets. Which is NOT a fixed problem. 64 bit is the solution, but converting UNIX programs from 32 to 64.... don't think it ALL has been done.

Fact #2: "According to GOOGLE(Focus on Google as the key word here), 88 of the original people..." - This is far from even being remotely reliable.
Google stores data that is recently used/updated/re-posted... etc. Also Google started in 1998, and wasn't popular world wide until 2001-2002. It is almost impossible to find information on people who have posted in the year 2000-2001 USING GOOGLE, however is possible if you search the site the OP was on. But will you find original post that old?

Hoaxhunter, your facts are wrong.
First I must say, I am a skeptic of this "John Titor" story, however I am open minded to the possibilities.
Fact #1: The 5100/5110 Issue - In a chat with "TimeTravel_0" he states that he traveled back to get a "5110" not a "5100", however in other post he mentions "5100."
Now, it is commonly known in the computer world that "5100" would be know as the series, and "5110" would be the exact model, regardless if there was a "5100" model.

lol, well your arguement about the 88 people who never posted again, proves? When someone stops talking to you, do you continue? Most leave, no one comes back. If so you'd know there are hundreds, if not thousands, of YT users with more than 80 accounts on the go. his point is they're the same user, backed up by the fact that when Titor left YT not one of these people has made a single comment on youtube since. so in conclusion....if this is a hoax.....it would need to be carried out by people with inside knowledge of the IBM computer in question...as i said...that only a very select few would have known.....a knowledge of quantum phsyics and multi domensional theory....and inside knowledge of what CERN where planning regarding the hydron colider and black hole experiments....plus the fact that the diagrams he sent where patented in 2007, when he spoke about converting propane to hydrogen on 2001

or also the fact that the scientific basis of how he was saying that enabled time travel was labled as science fiction back in 2001...but its no recognized scientific theory...plus the mentions of the hydron colider experiments with black holes...years before the idea was mentioned....theirs also the strange annomily of the sky scrappers that where in new york that wearnt there in his day (WTC pre 9/11)...or the fact the even NASA have uses for old computer parts even with todays technology

im totaly open minded to the john titor idea based upon the science and quantum mechanichs involved.......however, even with an open mind, i have to say....that you present no evidence whatsoever in order to justify your claims to debunking this as a hoax.....other than a logo...which you yourself says proves nothing, if this was a hoax 9as it possibly could be) you neglect to mention the detials of knowing things about the workings of the said computer that only about 20 people on earth knew of
