I forgot about this commentator, Ken Resnick. The WWF started changing in September '86, and I think he came aboard around that time. I remember in general we just weren't getting as much bang for the buck anymore, and now I remember that Resnick was part of the problem. Before him the interviews were mainly done by Mean Gene, and he was a classic. Ventura interviewed some too, and he was great. Even McMahon's interviews were damn good. But Resnick was just a total straight-man, nothing funny.
I remember watching Iron Mike on WWF wrestling back in the 1980's. He always seemed like someone who was on the verge of becoming a huge super star. But was never really given that one big chance.
He used to be a top tier wrestler in the WWF before the Hogan era. Back then, a guy would be pushed but after his push ended, he would slowly descend into jobberdom. It really wasn't until the late 80s/early 90s that Vince began to push, depush, and repush guys without changing their gimmick.
he was a jobber to the stars, he wom squash matches back when the WWF was on UHF TV Channels but lost to bigger stars. No idea why he never made more of it, he had decent mic skills.
Yes I agree, He won by his skills, not the brace from his old injured right arm brace.
