@babydragon1236 no dude. an acoustic-electric is a guitar that you can play acoustically because it has a sound hole (unlike this one) and then plug it into an amp as well....
men,the jack input of my guitar have the wires unconeccted, friend I have an equal guitar, but the cables of the jack followed, can you to take photos to know as they be connected, i apreciate too much.... thanks i hope you can do it...you can send info to my channel.....thanks amigo......sorry about my english
can you help me out? i might be buying that guitar at the end of the week and i was wondering if you could answer a few questions. 1.) does it play like an acoustic, or are the strings loose feeling like electric guitars? and second, how does it compare to a full body acoustic?
So you play an ACOUSTIC/electric guitar through an electric amp and expect us to be able to tell what it supposed to sound like? Did I miss something in the purpose of this video?
I used to have this guitar. Never played it, and ended up trading it away. It does have that acoustic sound which is nice, but I guess was never quite what I was looking for.
i can not wait to buy that guitar. im getting an epiphone one soon. tried to find a gibson but it was too hard. love the sound of it. is it plugged up to an amp?
Gwyds, it's only slightly louder than an electric when not plugged in. I've got the Chet SST model and love the hell out of it. It's not as crisp as the Gibson model, but with a piezo change this can be accomplished.
@ Fabian... it's Dave Matthews "Crash Into Me" Dave Matthews popularized the Gibson Chet SST in the early/mid 90's
Even though it is named after country player Chet Atkins, a lot of alternative bands from the 90's used this guitar. Emerson Hart, the lead singer of Tonic, plays one and Edwin McCain frequently uses one as well
Just ordered one online for $250, I'm it sounds more like an acoustic through a PA because this one sounds a little too much like an electric for what I want, but it's the only sound review on youtube, I'll make one in a week or two for people who are interested in the versatility of the instrument.
Epiphones aren't terrible compared to Gibsons. Sure it may sound nicer but I bet it costs at least twice as much too. Then again I mainly play acoustics so in retrospect my knowledge on electrics sort of stops after pickups.
Everyone.... if you are interested in this guitar.... do yourself a favor and buy the GIBSON version! The Epiphone version is way crummy on the quality and sounds sooo much cheaper. You get what you pay for on these things. I have two of the Gibsons (Black & Natural).... trust me, it's a HUGE difference.
Hello,SORRY MY ENGLISH,Im from Argentina. First, you play Crash very nice.
Now,I need your help on this, I have the same chet, same model, same pre-amp. When I play with Headphones, the guitar is 100% silent, perfect. But when I plug the chet to my amp/pa/ without ground connection, the HUM is TERRIBLE. only happens with the "no ground connection" things. Please I want Know, its the same with your chet? it's a normal thing?
Is a problem to me, if I go to play to someplace without ground. THANKS!
@gmenalosada All so-called solid-body production acoustics have chambers cut into them to provide some resonance, but they're sealed by the soundboard. Feedback is still a non-issue and they have more sustain than hollow-body acoustics.
hey, please tell me is it ok to use electric/acoustic or electric NICKEL strings on this guitar? And is it loud enough to perform with it at lets say around a bbq fire? Thx, im thinking of buying one
Can someone please put an unplugged video?

Two important questions:
Can you use a Electric Amp? Because I have the Peavey Vypyr 15 combo Amp.
Can you use Electric guitar strings on this guitar? I'm getting acoustic strings but I want to know if it'll also sound nice with electric.

well tell me, i don't have much money seeing as i'm 15.
i got my choices narrowed down to these (or anything around that price range people recommend)
-dean mamba cutaway
-dean michael shenkar
-this sst
-epiphone EJ-200CE
-Ibanez AEL10(or 20)E
-Takamine EG341C
