  • Can someone please put an unplugged video?

  • whats the name of the trird song?

  • hey does anyone know if any acoustic-electric have this type of body and neck shape?

  • @kruges41

    lol... um this one???

  • @babydragon1236 no dude. an acoustic-electric is a guitar that you can play acoustically because it has a sound hole (unlike this one) and then plug it into an amp as well....

  • @kruges41 well acourding to the epiphone website... this IS an acousic-electric just a solid body one...

    pm me for links

  • would really like to hear it unplugged too

  • can this guitar be played without an amp

  • Two important questions:

Can you use a Electric Amp? Because I have the Peavey Vypyr 15 combo Amp.

Can you use Electric guitar strings on this guitar? I'm getting acoustic strings but I want to know if it'll also sound nice with electric.

  • Lovely guitar mate ! Btw, what's the song at 0:23 ??

  • It's great if you cannot play guitar in your apartment because of complaining neighbors.

  • men,the jack input of my guitar have the wires unconeccted, friend I have an equal guitar, but the cables of the jack followed, can you to take photos to know as they be connected, i apreciate too much.... thanks i hope you can do it...you can send info to my channel.....thanks amigo......sorry about my english

  • This is so awesome ... im gnna get this guitar !!! :D

  • i hav a clean 2 channel carvin sx200 electric guitar amp, how would this guitar hold up with that?

  • wheres the Jazz???

  • tune it no eh?

  • @renataccio Sounds a bit out to me too.

  • To do this guitar JUSTICE play it through a Marshall acustic amp 100watt AS100 with some chorus added WOW! Try it out you won't be disappointed!

  • Are you driving this with an electric guitar amp? For an acoustic, the sound quality is very poor.

  • this song is from the german band "juli" i think....sounds great

  • What son you play in 0:46

  • can you help me out? i might be buying that guitar at the end of the week and i was wondering if you could answer a few questions. 1.) does it play like an acoustic, or are the strings loose feeling like electric guitars? and second, how does it compare to a full body acoustic?

  • wat song are you playing at 1:05??

  • What song is the segment he plays until about 0:20?

Then what does he start playing right after it?

  • Comment removed

  • do you have to play this guitar on an amp or headphone? or can u play it without those like a normal acoustic guitar

  • @SparkPlugSP All three.

  • @SilentMassacree is the acoustic loud tho? and does the guitar have good action?

  • It has a nice natural Delay or was there effects on?

  • So you play an ACOUSTIC/electric guitar through an electric amp and expect us to be able to tell what it supposed to sound like? Did I miss something in the purpose of this video?

  • :23 old love by eric clapton

one of the most beautiful chord progressions ever

  • I used to have this guitar. Never played it, and ended up trading it away. It does have that acoustic sound which is nice, but I guess was never quite what I was looking for.

  • hey im really curious seeing as im looking in to buying this guitar...how does it sound unplugged??

  • Like an unplugged Les Paul, I think.

  • Better than it does plugged in, sadly enough. The pick-ups are really dreadful, I'm replacing them as soon as I can.

  • I love this guitar! I want one so badly!

But the only thing i wish for is that they would've made more finishes for it, black is kinda......dull.

  • I'm About to buy an Epiphone for my birthday which one do i buy Epiphone SST Studio or Epiphone EJ 200CE?

  • i can not wait to buy that guitar. im getting an epiphone one soon. tried to find a gibson but it was too hard. love the sound of it. is it plugged up to an amp?

  • it clearly is plugged in

  • Gwyds, it's only slightly louder than an electric when not plugged in. I've got the Chet SST model and love the hell out of it. It's not as crisp as the Gibson model, but with a piezo change this can be accomplished.

@ Fabian... it's Dave Matthews "Crash Into Me" Dave Matthews popularized the Gibson Chet SST in the early/mid 90's

  • Even though it is named after country player Chet Atkins, a lot of alternative bands from the 90's used this guitar. Emerson Hart, the lead singer of Tonic, plays one and Edwin McCain frequently uses one as well

  • Hey, what's the name of the song you play at the start ?? sounds awesome

  • crash into me -dave matthews band

  • hi all

it is only a little louder than a regular electric.

  • How does it sound when its not plugged in, is it louder or same as a standard electric guitar? I noticed there is no hole that's why I'm asking

  • @Gwyds12 there's a headphone switch for you to play the guitar and be the only one who hears it. for me that makes up for not being loud unplugged :)

  • wooow thats a beautiful guitar and the sound too!

about how much is this guitar? in dollars

  • Just ordered one online for $250, I'm it sounds more like an acoustic through a PA because this one sounds a little too much like an electric for what I want, but it's the only sound review on youtube, I'll make one in a week or two for people who are interested in the versatility of the instrument.

  • yes please

  • can you make a vid without the amp?

cuz i agree with what jelmerdeborn

  • Beautiful Guitar *-*

  • can you make a short clip of it with no amp?

or is it just like an electric guitar without a amp?

    because it has no soundhole...

  • that sounds amazing :) im saving upi 4 a new guitar, i might get this or save up for for the gibson SG standard

was the first song cute without the e by taking back sunday?

  • nooo its crash into me by the DAVE MUDA FUCKIN MATTHEWS BAND WOOOO

  • lol, ok.

i wrote the comment like right after i heard the first sound :P

  • Really nice instrument! I plan to buy one...

Which kind of strings did you used in this clip? Did you used an amp and mic or you recorded the direct signal?

  • the start sounds a bit like cute without the e from taking back sunday, the acoustic version

  • this guitar sounds best if youre a dave matthews fan. thats what he played with back in the day.

songs like what would you say, ants marching, tripping billies sound amazing with this.

  • well the gibson chet atkins signature version, but both guitars are so hard to come by nowadays!! : (

  • Does it handle distortion well?

  • Epiphones aren't terrible compared to Gibsons. Sure it may sound nicer but I bet it costs at least twice as much too. Then again I mainly play acoustics so in retrospect my knowledge on electrics sort of stops after pickups.

  • Everyone.... if you are interested in this guitar.... do yourself a favor and buy the GIBSON version! The Epiphone version is way crummy on the quality and sounds sooo much cheaper. You get what you pay for on these things. I have two of the Gibsons (Black & Natural).... trust me, it's a HUGE difference.

  • Can it only be played plugged in?

  • well tell me, i don't have much money seeing as i'm 15.

i got my choices narrowed down to these (or anything around that price range people recommend)

    -dean mamba cutaway

    -dean michael shenkar

    -this sst

    -epiphone EJ-200CE

    -Ibanez AEL10(or 20)E

    -Takamine EG341C

  • Definitely the Takamine. Hands down. Every other guitar you listed is worthless crap... especially anything made by Dean (cheap junk sold in malls).

  • thank you !

any recommended strings ? i prefer brass upper ones,

  • takemine ftw! my sister has one. its ahMAZING

  • that guitar can be played with out amp???

  • What amp are you running it through?

  • can you play without an amp?

Does it sound loud enough like a other acoustic?

    Nice playing!

  • yep!!

  • does this guitar sound with distortion

  • hey im thinking to get a sst studio or a thunderbird they both sound great put i have no chioce i just might buy both then HELP ME DECIEDl.PLZ

  • how much was this and does it sound horrible with a bit of distortion

  • such a cool guitar

    i'm gonna buy it

  • Hello,SORRY MY ENGLISH,Im from Argentina. First, you play Crash very nice.

Now,I need your help on this, I have the same chet, same model, same pre-amp. When I play with Headphones, the guitar is 100% silent, perfect. But when I plug the chet to my amp/pa/ without ground connection, the HUM is TERRIBLE. only happens with the "no ground connection" things. Please I want Know, its the same with your chet? it's a normal thing?

Is a problem to me, if I go to play to someplace without ground. THANKS!

  • Hola amigo, la respuesta es SI, es normal cuando no tienes la conexión a tierra.

  • I think 2007..

  • can this be played acoustic only? what amp are using now? i like this sound a lot...sort of hybrid

  • What year is this model from?

  • stupid question

    is that heavy?

  • this guitar is NOT a fireplace and camp guitar unless you have a small amp. though it plays a bit louder than a normally electric guitar...

  • @HandsomeArt doesn'it have a chambered body?

  • @gmenalosada All so-called solid-body production acoustics have chambers cut into them to provide some resonance, but they're sealed by the soundboard. Feedback is still a non-issue and they have more sustain than hollow-body acoustics.

  • hey, please tell me is it ok to use electric/acoustic or electric NICKEL strings on this guitar? And is it loud enough to perform with it at lets say around a bbq fire? Thx, im thinking of buying one

  • your not doing that guitar any good putting in through an electric amp.

  • what happens if i do? So do i have to buy another amp if i buy this guitar?

  • The song is by Dave Matthews band, and is called: Crash or Crash into me, i'm not really sure... Anyways its a really great song...

  • Excelent song, you played it well.

  • @HandsomeArt Awesome, thank you. Now, what's the very first song you're playing? Is that RHCP?

  • @HandsomeArt Dave Matthews used to use this same guitar

  • what's the first song that you play ? (sorry for my english but I'm french)

  • what's the first song that you play ? (sorry for my english but I'm french)

  • sounds good mate. looking forward to more vids. Check out mine that I am posting right now.

  • hey Matty, no you don't have to, but there is no sound hole in it, so without and amplifier, the sound isn't that great.

but the sound is louder than a normally electric guitar..!

  • does this guitar have to be plugged in to work. im guessing not coz it electro/acoustic but i dno

  • hahaha!!!! du spiller "take me to the river" :D

  • this guitar is the boss! it looks awsome and sounds it.

  • very nice!!
