  • Can not hear this without crying and feeling terrible about what the "new

American" thought they had the "right" to do to the Indians, as the were caled

    then. Damn Andrew Jackson!

  • You can thank sorry Jackass Andrew Jackson for the “Trail of Tears” The Civilized American Indians on the East coast actually won the case in a court of law against Jackson.

Jackson somehow overturned the decision and forced the Indians to leave Georgia. Forcing them to cross the Appalachian Mountains during the middle of the winter killing most of them.

By the way, this is how the “Jack-Ass” symbolizing the Democratic party started. Andrew Jackass.

  • I've always loved anything native and married a native man who unfortunately passed away. I then was engaged to another native (Micmac) for some time. I love the native culture, look, language and customs. My the Great Spirit, our God, bless you all.

  • Damn that was calming. loved it.

  • I am part Lakota Souix and even before it was confirmed, I've been in "love" with anything Indian. My aunt says I have the gift of foresight that comes from my heritage. This video gives me chiily bumps and I especially love the bagpipe in the background!

  • feels nice to hear this beautiful song. I'm Cherokee myself and have always loved the language and this song really emphisizes how beautiful a language it is.

  • I'm part Cherokee, part african-american and this song brought me to tears....it made me think about The Trail of Tears and what our people had to go through. Thanks for adding this.

    Wohali Gigage

  • This song was the most beautiful rendition I have heard yet. I'm very proud of my Cherokee blood. Even if I'm not a full blood my heart is. Bless my Cherokee grandmother and my 1/4 Cherokee grandfather.

    Wohali Gigage

  • im agree

  • We all could have learned from the cherokee people. they were not agressors, and never killed more than they could eat, they shared what little they had and loved the land and nature. All Cherokee and other native tribes should be very proud of their ancestry. The beauty of this song is just phenomal. I'm proud of my white ancestry, but we are nothing compared to the American Indians. May god bless all of them .

  • thanx for adding that part about whites. im half sioux and im much more proud of my white heritage, sounds great when said from the white perspective doesnt it

  • This song could be the anthem of the whole planet earth

  • this vid is truly awesome,it makes you feel great and proud to be descended from brave courageous people,I may not be but 1/16 cherokee.but Im very much proud,I think of the great grandmother that was full blood that died in 1980 ,I was but 4 years old.and I dont remember Alot of course, but I was told she really liked me,Peace

  • God Bless my people A Cherokee Son

  • What can I say? What can anyone say? Human language cannot, is not, designed to do honor to the spirit of this song and the Cherokee rendition of it. One can only sit and listen. That is all that need be done. Brought me to tears. Just beautiful...Thank you for this video.

  • this is so beautiful

im so proud of my cherokee ancestors

i may not be full blooded, but i couldnt have any more pride if i was

i feel it in my heart and thats all that matters

thank you so much for putting this beautiful song on here

  • I am not Native American, but I am married to a Souix, and I love that song and viedo. We need a Native American president.

  • well obama is part kiowah (i think) on his mom's side.

  • @cwbydck imagine how much better off America would be with that.

  • This song was my grandmother's favorite! May God rest her soul. It was sung in both English and Cherokee at her funeral because she was proud to be Cherokee, as I am. I may not be full blooded, but it does not diminish the pride that I have at being part of a noble people.

  • that is beautiful never herd it in another language than English

May the Great Mystery Make Sunrise in your Heart

  • im so proud to be cherokee my ancestors may they live on in us

  • would a people leaving europe or asia 13 to 20 thousand years ago only to be re conquered by their original kind really be a conquered people? or a reclaimed?

  • Let's wait until the Great Spirit reveals the final chapter of mankind. Then we'll see who is conquered or who was reclaimed.

  • I just love this song....and to hear it in Native Language...beautifully done...

  • To all of the Cherokee watching this vid: I'm mainly European, but I've learned through the stories of my ancestors that rascism and hate are fountains of stupidity. I'm glad that people now recognise what happened in the past. Let's all make a better future.

  • Thank you.

  • Wonderful! There's much 'God worship' here...these Animals are very symbolic in the Hebrew/ Aramaic languages, thru out Torah, the Bible & the Spiritual realm. I'm wonderin if they are the same in Cherokee symbolism. I'd imagine, at least similar? If anyone knows, please holler at me on SMSCBREB at aol com.
