I look at this footage here and it looks to me to be all about image. Maybe because its clips of the film. But I will stick to watching the stones 68-78 period shows when it was all different and the live music actually sounded live, stoned and raw. They need to bring back Mick and Bill and do a tour just like the old glory daze and bring back that early 70s blues-rock sound.
INDEED.this affair is NO must; although ,these living legends have earned themselves the right to take a crap on stage, if they wished to do so.This comes close though.
jones was barely there for beggars banquet, played minimal parts on two tracks on let it bleed and was gone by the time Sticky fingers and Exile came around.
The Mick Taylor era is without a doubt the stones at their peak
It will be interesting to see Martin Scorsesse articulant point a view of such a long established band. The Rolling Stones to me are like Historic Rote 66 or like a 50
's dinner.Part of a celebration that seems to exist outside the stream of time.so festive
I have already seen it.I highly recommend it to every rock and roller.Pay especial attention when buddy guy comes to the stage. One of the highlights of the documentary.Fucking awesome.
Either it's the quality of the video or the way the film was shot. I saw them on this tour and they actually look their age up close. But Jagger was doing somersaults on the runway, so there's definitely something going on there. I figure Microsoft re-engineered them in exchange for the rights to "Start Me Up."
I was there for the 2nd Beacon show--there was no re-engineering, I can assure you! I caught 12 shows on the BB tour & each one had it's own "flavor" including ups & downs.
"Live at the Max" & "Stripped." Nicely remixed. Possibly the best sounding "live" shows ever made available.

Did Mahalo really get Keith Richards for an interview? Or is that from the DVD?

Great footage! I can't wait to see this movie.

why does Mick and Keith look younger now than they did a decade and a half ago?
If the selfish buggers discovered the font of youth, why haven't they shared it with us mortals?
Did I just answer my own question?
