Why is it that everytime we see something that we don't immediately understand, our first response is a supernatural force? I hope its not just b/c it's easier than being patient, reserving judgement, and doing research.
If you look at the history of the world, then you will see a pattern:
New discovery, new unknown, religions attack science for not knowing everything immediately, science then discovers the answer, religions don't acknowledge it and simply point out the next unknown, repeat.
Another example why the KJV is the Word of God in English. It says in the Colossians passage (at 6:48 ): "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:" Why did Chis's version of choice change dominions to powers, principalities to rulers, and powers to authorities?
ChurchofKali below seems to forget that fossils are embedded in sedimentary rock layers, all of which were created through water. How were they laid down? Rain couldn't have caused them, because over time water, wind and heat cause erosion. How were the rock layers built? Hydrologic sorting during a worldwide flood seems to be the only theory that fits the facts.
I do wish this man finds out what the "new versions" of the Bible do to the Word of God. They make Mary not to be a virgin when Jesus was born; they make salvation difficult. Changing words, omitting passages, creating doubt and confusion. About Psalm 139: In NIV, verse 16 reads: "all the days ordained for me were written in your book". The KJV reads: "in thy book all my members were written". Members = bodyparts, and the context is about a growing unborn baby.
