I like this idea! Using the Revolver joint base worries me a little, though, because I don't trust the pegs on the lower joint to hold up all the weight, but it's pretty clever!
@darkz1820 yes, I know, they are MUCH better, this is jut to show that using some dollar store everyday tools, people can make their gunpla kit better, thats all.
@pukka5 I'd just stick with Gundam Markers or just Tamiya acrylic paints. =) I'd rather not use these "Studio" brand permanent markers. Also, if an SD/HG kit is too heavy for the "cheap" Action Base thing, you can just put something heavy & small inside the parts holder box. =P
i made an action base for my 0 gundam with this like receipt thing that you poke you receipts to, it is basically a square wood base with a long nail type thing on the end i have also made bases out of Lego sign stands, and thick gauged wire wrapped around its self to make a circle and than bring the wire back up to make the connection port go and watch one of Ihasarus videos for the wire idea

@CitrusJuicebox Thanks!, Eyah, might have to find ways to reinforce that lower joint.

now I gotta scope out some dollar stores. The marker would be really useful for small details or touchups.

nice video man
Last time i went to one of the dollarama (i think?) at the south side (near calgary trail),
I bought a pack of those tiny clear zip-lock bags to hold my action base spare parts and exchangeable gunpla parts. Just an idea lol...
Also rolls of cheap textured wall paper for photographing

@DungeonRPG that zip lock is good idea and textured walpaper is cool too, thanks for sharing.
