The baby eating thing is based on "kuntil anak" which is a demon/ghost that usually haunts expected mothers. And the whole learning black magic thing might be related to their belief in "dukuns" (mystics who use black magic) But a decapatated head isn't a particularly common sighting hahah :D

the film effects was bad because it was an old film. But seriously, if u come to Bali with a tour guide, they will sometimes warn you about "fake" animals that might be this ghost. They can be a monkey, pig, cars, and even an aeroplanes. You might take this ridiculus, but this happened sometimes :)
