Your comment shows (I guess) that you haven't seen much footage of state occasions with Queen Beatrix present. She can be every bit as royal as Queen Elizabeth. You should check out pictures and/or footage of the two majesties, Beatrix and Elizabeth in each other's company. You'd be surprised!

They both are very reagl, indeed. But there is something of Elizabeth II that is not about any other monarch. Her hats, her never changing hair style, her pearls, her handbag. I think what really special about Elziabeth II is that she looks very regal but act as very ordinary woman. Queen Beatrix herself once said that no Royalty can compare themselves to the British one. Nowadays, all monarchies are "bicycle" monarchies except the British monarchy..........

Anyway, when we say the Queen. First thing that pops in our minds is Elizabeth or Engalnd or something British. I remember one of my friend told me the other day that he never knew that there are any Monarchs of Spain, Denmark, Netherlands, Thailand. But I think one of the reason for Elizabeth's popularity is that she is Queen of 16 countries......

You know what, I am so sorry, that was Queen of Denmark, she said that in the documentary "The Queen's Story." It was on the life of Elizabeth II and many monarchs and PMs and Presidents paid tribute to the Queen in the documentary that was made for her golden jubilee, including former US presidents and so on!

I find that i am more interested in the Dutch Queen and Royal family than i am the british.

She may not be as regal as Elizabeth but she is so much more beautiful than Elizabeth!

HM Queen Beatrix is an out going and smart woman, not only is she more beautiful then Elizabeth she, unlike the Queen of England, has a smile on her face. Most times I see Elizabeth on TV she look mad and very unhappy.

The British and Dutch monarchy are both very interesting.

Both monarchs are very nice people both visually and personally though Elizabeth is older.
