Hum It like compare apple vs orange ,, the v6 mustang you just can toutch the pedal if you want an good fuel economy with my svt i floor it all the way to my destination and i cant even notice if i drink more or less fuel + it the svt still consume less fuel then my stang when driving it smooth. Driving the stang hard and i see the tank light goes on alot alot quicker vs when driving it smooth,and it also drink more than my svt even when i rev it to the redline an beat the shit out of each gear.

Yes, an SVT Contour is faster than a V6 Cougar.

SVT = 200hp

Cougar = 170hp

@joe2go16 Countour's aren't much faster, if at all, when you remember the cougar is a 2 door coupe, and the contour is a mid size, 4-door sedan.

@srcej6 And i hope that they have at least an extude and honed intake(mazda klze got vris intake system no extrude hone intake) because they dont have variable cam timming and no turbo or supercharge or wet pump or high performance oil pump (any king an type of performance system for oil cooling or pressure to prevent the most you can oil starvation) or fuel pump to get an more reliable high rev stock engine etc

@jaaj2 Well the Contour does have tumble flaps, which is very similar to the VRIS in the Mazda KL engines. Also what sedan that was less than 25k could hold a candle to the SVTC when it came out ? Remember, we're talking 1998 here.
