I'm a bit new to scrum, but I'll take a guess. First, I'll point out that you are taking on too many roles. Essentially, you as the product owner are too involved with the team. Doing multiple things at once is a degradation of focus. (focus is very important) A multiple "work in progress" may occur if you are awaiting feedback from a third party (reported to scrum master at stand-ups for them to resolve). The one item may have a dependency on another (unknown before taking on the task).
