And by the end of the movie she had the lobotomy and they could do nothing about it. But it's also a twist because if you watch it. It's almost like she was actually crazy and just imagined it all. So the movie actually sits in both perspectives.

So when running from him she grabbed a gun shot it off an it ricoshade off a pipe and hit her sister. So her father stuck her in a mental hospital where the main dr dude transformed it into a stripe club.
