A quick question and I will let this subject rest for now, but how can astrologers claim that the stars and planets have anything to do with what happens here on earth when the positions of the objects they quote have nothing to do with where the objects are in the actual sky? For example, the first point of Aries is actually in Pisces now. How do I know this? Well if we could somehow block out the light from the sun the background stars on that date would be Picses and not Aries

@kentaappel I'm using the Western Tropical Zodiac system which is based on Sunlight (the seasons). The Cardinal signs initiate the seasons. Aries/Libra are the Spring/Fall Equinoxes, Cancer/Capricorn are the Summer/Winter Solstices. The system used in India, Vedic Sidereal Astrology, is actually based on the constellations and is almost one sign off, so you are partially correct. There have been many different systems of astrology throughout time.

@CarmenDiLuccio But on the spring equinox the sun is in Pisces and not in Aries in the actually sky and the sun is in Virgo, not in Libra, on the autumn equinox and the other constellations you quote for the beginning of the other seasons are also off from the actual sky.

@kentaappel In Western astrology (Tropical Zodiac), the positioning of the signs are based on Sunlight on the Earth. We only look at the sky when we are considering fixed stars, the galactic center, etc.... You are absolutely right about the placement of the constellations, but this would only apply to different systems like Vedic Astrology, which is actually based on the sky/constellations.

Anyway, Also, how do you explain that the stars of the constellations are just in the same direction as seen from earth and they have absolutely no relationship to each other as they are at huge varying distances from each other and from earth. They couldn’t possibly have an effect on anything on our planet or on us. They only look like they form patterns in 2D if we could look in 3D, we see there is no relationship

@CarmenDiLuccio One more thing, in recent years Pluto has been classified as a dwarf planet and there are other objects that are also in this classfication including a dwarf planet called Eris, which was discovered in about 2003.

How come astrologers don't take in to account where Eris and the other dwarf planets are when they do their predictions? Eris is probably bigger than Pluto.

Also, when I was born the sun was in Ophiuchus not Sagitarrius, so Shoudn't Ophiuchus be my sign?

@kentaappel Actually, some astrologers do use Eris. I personally haven't done enough research into Eris, or worked with it, so my perspective on it is very limited. Western Astrology is always evolving and different planets, planetoids, etc, eventually make their way in if the astrological community decides to fully embrace them based on their research. Ophiuchus has no relevance to western astrology but it probably has been used in other systems throughout time, along with other constellations.

How do we know that Pluto is not in Capricorn (the same line of sight)? We can look at the sky and see what the background stars it appears to be in.

An easier example is Jupiter, which is a bright naked eye object that your astrology data no doubt would say that Jupiter is now in Taurus but we can look at the sky and see with our eyes that it is actually in Aries. But, again, it is merely in the same direction as those background stars. Your signs are off one sign with the actual sky.

It's just a naming convention Kent, as I have told you over and over. Now that you know that people use diff names and numbers to designate things, then you should have no more to say on this subject. You use English, others use a German map. You still can find the same objects in the sky. You are creating a non-problem to try and look intelligent. You do NOT look all that intelligent in you pictures in your videos. Duh.

Pluto is not even in Capricorn it is in Sagittarius but even so, the stars in constellations, most of them have no physical relationship to each other so they are just in the same line of sight as seen from earth. The stars of, for example, Capricorn are at huge distances from each other and earth, trillions of miles, so if we could somehow travel to the closest star in Capricorn we would not be in Capricorn, just at that star with the others far off in the distance. They have no effect on us.

Glad you did this astro report. I did it too. We had a 3 day warm up following cool weather and a previous 3 day freeze. Sept ,25, 26 27th it was hot and the Sun had a bite; on about the 25th contrails were over our area and after the 27th New Moon it changed back to cold rainy weather and rained all day the 29th. The Elinin effect was a large dose of radiation HEAT up.. HARRP uses contrails to bounce their radiation off, to draw moisture. This type of rain is NOT in company with Thunder..

Therefor no alignments EVER occurred because Elenin never shared our ecliptic plane (alignments in a 3 dimensional space have to line up in both the X and Y planes) Elenin is now in our Ecliptic and for the very first time is actually in a position to make an alignment and guess what? Mate, regarding stuff from 2:00 onwards - Pluto will start to approach Capricorn starting from 2020 and will leave it in 2040. And also, Mars will enter Leo in the 2nd half of October 2011.

I personally haven't invested much of my time researching it because there is so much mixed information out there. I watched a movie called 'The Quickening',and they said that it will be making a similar alignment on Sept 26th, that it did when other major Earthquakes occurred, so I addressed that DATE from an astrological perspective. I'm not an Elenin expert or anything.

I thought there was an alignment yesterday and the comet was a heck of alot closer, and the biggest earthquake yesterday was like a 5.5. So i dont see how it can align alot closer and not cause at least a 9.1. The only thing that really scares me is that North is off 3 degrees and it seems like the news only mentioned it once and never again someone needs to explain why North is off right now, also ive heard things about the moon not being in the right part of the sky certain nights.
