You are correct - I have the version you are talking about also. I taped it when it was played for the 2000 celebration episode. If you buy "Neighbours: The First 10 Years" on VHS, you only get the first 4 episodes. The BBC showed the first 5 episodes when it was re-showed for "episode 2000". I (of course have episodes 01 - 2100) all on DVD (now, hows that for gloating) lol. Best wishes :o)

In the first clip thats the original Scott Robinson having a nightmare,he only lasted a 2-3 weeks before Donovan got the part.

I remember Danny and Shane. We used to love this when we were at school. We wrote to the BBC to put it on after school hours so we could all watch it after school. It used to be on at around 1.30pm when we were all at school and we started to watch it in the holidays. It got so popular that they later moved it to prime time TV. Ah the good old days!

Vicki Blanche played Julie ALMOST exactly the SAME as Julie Mullins did. They even looked pretty similar. The only difference was their voice quality and accent.

That opening dream sequence when Danny's having a nightmare is superb. Just listen to that deep, dark, eerie 80s synth music especialy when it changes just before Max grabs Danny round the throat. Great stuff.
