And it brought the tax rate for the top earners TO 35%, FROM 41%, a 6% tax cut. It also included cut in capital gains tax which reduces taxes on ALL tax brackets. And it brought the tax rate for the top earners TO 35%, FROM 41%, a 6% tax cut. It also included cut in capital gains tax which reduces taxes on ALL tax brackets. It also included tax cuts for every tax bracket and raised the minimum earnings for which taxes must be paid, a tax cut for the lowest earners. Nice try, but you need to learn the facts.

Well, actually, you have been lied to. His administration has raised numerous consumer taxes. And those affect ALL classes and typically affect lower classes the worst. So, they throw you a bone on this side and rape you from the other. You are the typical uneducated sheep. His administration has raised taxes across the board. And if you think the top 10% of wage earners paying over 80% of the taxes, I would have to agree. But then I don't suppose that is what you meant now is it.

One thing you are forgeting.
It would be easy to just let the market work. Pensions funds would be lost, people would lose their jobs, public infrastructures (roadds, bridges) would decline even further and business as a whole would take a hit for who would be there to spend money?
And most of the liberals are indeed right: the markets would correct themselves in the long term.
But... how long would it take for the well armed americans to take on the streets with riots and secessions?
