chmmr are very tough but not invincible. even the lowly druuge mauler can wreck a chmmr's shit, the recoil from the cannon compensates for the chmmr's tractor beam

utwig beats chmmr easily. if you put awesome cyborgs play both sides utwig beats chmmr every time. Kohr-Ah also beats Chmmr most of the times..

The Druuge usefulness against the Chmmr I think is a nice show of the rock paper scissors thing the game has going.

My two favorite for fighting the Chmmr are the Orz and the Utwig ships

With the Orz all you need to do is point your guns backwards and blast the Chmmr

With the Utwig you can leave your shields up while under fire and when you run into the Chmmr you will bounce out of range or if you can by chance get out of range of its guns you can drop shields and let off a few blasts.

im always amazed at how awesome the "grays" are when you set them up with awesome cyborg brain. 2out of 3 times , they can kill an ur quan dready with awesome cyborg on.

However, I did have a problem with how you played the Kohr-Ah. Just plowing into a Chmmr? I don't quite get that. It may take a little more time, but trying to take out the Chmmr's satellites is the only difficult part. Just take those out in fly-byes with your special, then taking out the ship is easy from a distance.

I just don't understand why you plowed into it.

Run into it directly, use FRIED to kill the avatars, and use the mines to take out as much of the Chmmr as you can.

Chmmrs are broken. They can beat anyone.

A couple can beat them.The Utwig can wear them down the Ur-quan ships have a slight chance and the Thraddash.I dunno how fast you have to be to get around the tractor beam but maybe the Supox a hopping Umgah and Spathi can get away from it

Ships that can beat them Chmmr? Korah, Druuge, Androsynth, Orz, Syreen (lots of practice). A lucky Ur-quan player can get a kill in.

I would also say that the Chmmr are actually weak against the Shofixti, whose self-destruct does serious damage.

Chmmr will "win", but considering the value of the ships it's a pyrrhic victory.

You cleaned up with that Mycon. That's what I love about this game... a lot of the supposedly "crappy" ships can be flown really well if you play to their strengths. Except for the Illwrath. They simply suck. :p

Mycrom is my best ship on Star control 1. it have a super powerful weapon and can heal it's self. I've been my friends before just using Mycrom.

Damn, nice Gravity swinging with the Mycon there. It's amazing how you used it to kill the Ur-quan. It was also cool how you used the DOGI's to drain the Druge batteries, which... Well, is just devastating to the pilot of the ship. I mean, they were killing their own crew, there!
