He would've also been double teamed more you can't just look at one side of the situation. Sure if Brandon Marshall wasn't there he might have gotten more pass attempts, but he also would've had a much bigger target on his back and would have received more of the defensive focus, especially because he's such a playmaker. Part of reason why he thrived last season was because Marshall was there and Royal got more one-on-one opportunities where he exploited his superior speed and route-running.

royal doesnt get double covered ever? I think he does seeing how we have no running game and teams just have to focus on the passing attack with man to man and safety help uptop. Also the eagles may not have a reciever on the other side but teams have to focus on your running game seeing how you have one of the best runningbacks in the league, where as the broncos do not.

dont go saying you have no run game. broncos were 12th in the league in rushing, eagles were 22nd. and you cant just say "the eagles may not have a receiver on the other side." do you realize other teams have to design entire defensive schemes around marshall? trust me, it helps a #2 receiver quite a bit (wes welker, anyone?).

With Brandon Marshall back, no one can afford to double team either receiver, so Royal should still get plenty of looks. Not only did he run one of the fastest 40 times for the wide outs, but he also had the best in the bench press competition with 225lbs for 23reps!! He only weighs 186 yet he can bench nearly 400 pounds. That is serious power and pound per pound one of the strongest guys in the league. Go Eddie!!
