  • That sounds better than the new Roland, and it's a lot smaller too..

  • Hi all, the website is back up with build details now.

As for the air flow, the air valve is still in place from the original accordian, and I created the right amount of leakiness so that it's fairly natural feeling as with a normal box.

    Cheers

  • Hey,

    What happended to your website?

I am currently in the process of building a midi accordion myself, and I have been looking at your project a lot for inspiration.

How did you manage to make the bellows feel natural - if i understand correctly you have none of the old accordion mechanics left inside, right? Do you have some sort of valve tomake the bellows move?

  • i like that

  • Very clever!

  • nice box, where did you get all the electronics from???

would love to build one myself

  • Very very nicely made and played !

  • how do you tell the pic chip how much air is flowing/in which direction?

how different does it feel to play than a normal box?

  • It uses electronic pressure sensors to detect higher or lower pressure than atmospheric. It doesn't use a PIC, rather an ATMega168.

It doesn't feel much different to a normal box.
