I've never heard anything remotely approaching a Northern Irish accent in anything broadcast on Ulster Television, apart from interviews on the news. The local ads, local newsreaders, continuity announcers - was there ever one who didn't try to put on a BBC accent? Must have been pretty irritating if you lived there... although I imagine some of the locals took it worse than others.
i couldnt have cared less! some accents here are just to common to be on telly luv lol....including my self..

Think this bunch is from late 1983/early 1984 - the Citroen BX is an A-reg model.
Never remember seeing Lovell and Christmas advertise on UTV. John O'Hara voices the Drucker Furs ad.
