@BL00D4NG31 a Dana 30 is the stock axle that comes on most Jeep wranglers besides the Dana 45 which comes on some models. A Dana 45 is stronger than a Dana 30 and would most likely hold up on this jump. The most desirable axle for a Jeep is a Dana 60 which is found in most trucks like an F350 flatbed. The only reason Jeep can get away with putting in Dana 30's is because a Jeep doesn't weigh much and they don't need huge axles.

What the hell is a Dana 45? I don't recall Jeep ever putting in a Dana 60 into one of their vehicles from the factory. The Dana 30 usually holds up BETTER than a Dana 35 in most situations.

The Dana 35 has weaker axle tubes which are more prone to flexing. Flexing=broken axle shafts. The axle is also a c clip axle so when the axle shaft is snapped, it will fall out along with your tire.

The Dana 30 was also found in the CJ too. All XJ's have the Dana 30 front axle unless it is the 2WD model. Starting in mid/late 1997, Sport and Sahara models had the option of a Dana 44 rear and it remained that way until 2006(Sport) and 2004(Sahara). All SE and X models came with a Dana 35.
