I think everyone is missing the most important part, Le Femme (Woman in black) Just SAVED a baby from being stabbed from her greifing & remorsful mother.
The movie isn't about just 2 characters, theres a 3rd character, The BABY, & he was the victim in all of this

There must be some desperate men in France to get that psycho knocked up.
I just watch it to the end to see if it was just one big joke.
And don't get me started on 'Martyrs'....
Now 'Irreversible'....What a fine example of pure disturbing brilliance.

I'm a big fan of this film as it really takes no prisoners in the gore stakes, but, like a lot of horror flicks, it annoyed me with its own internal logic. Dahl's character waits 4 months to get this child, staking out the house & Sarah, so presumably she's not COMPLETELY batshit, why doesn't she just wait a couple more days, storm in, and grab the kid post pregnancy, than risk the child's death through extreme attack? Gaarrr! And yeah i know it's only a movie, but c'mon fuckin scriptwriters!
