i hope you managed to get rid of them. we had a similar problem in our home. randomly huge garden roaches would find their way in our house and little by little we would see more and more baby roaches. we sprayed Scotts Ortho Home Defense Max in every nook and cranny in every room. we even sprayed the perimeters of all windows both inside and out. the first few days we saw a lot of little dead ones. a month and a half later and we haven't seen any big ones. you should give that product a try.
@KsstheStrs well one thing that i have remembered over the course of (now) four years ago is that we saw some antennae sticking out of the door frame that were three inches long. these dudes antennae are generally the exact length of their bodies. we never SAW the roach goddess herself, but we were quite sure she was angry at our attempts to kill her brood. we live about 8 blocks away now and are happy to be roach free.

we were caddy corner to a metal scrap yard and i always thought that they were coming from there. well the truth be told that they lived in the ground like ants or something.
we were living in a house with no concrete foundation and it was bare earth underneath the hardwood. i could pour (and did) hundreds of dollars into the project to try to kill them.
i talked to an exterminator and he explained it this way:
"just like in a nuclear fallout, we would seek shelter in the middle of the earth, so do they in your situation."
so in effect we were just driving the female reproducers and larvae deeper into the earth while the adults and juveniles popped up into the house looking for munchies.
pretty nasty i know but think of it like this:
the house was a cork in a roach volcano.
they were not the infestation per se... the house was.
soooo... the only way to kill these guys i am told by the exterminator was: 1) move every item out of the house 2) turn off the power and gas 3) come in with a 2 55 gallon barrels (10 gallons) of a chemical that he described as being kind of like kerosene... 4) place 12-20 "holes" thru the flooring, into the ground... 5) pour it in 6) spray down entire house 7) pellet the outside with bug pellets 8) leave power and gas off for 1 week after application 9) move back in ARE YOU KIDDING???
Yep, that is the only way to kill the entire roach population. I'm an exterminator and have done jobs like that and it works; however, it is sucks for the homeowner. Plus you get the deal with dead roaches everywhere when you move back in. But it kills em dead!
There is a new gel, and you got to do a drip every meter in the corners of walls and cealing. it works on the stumach and prevents them to get resistent
