see im confused because my family is from north greece but my papou says his family and all the villages in northern greece spoke macedonian and the greeks took over and made them go to night school and learn greek. He says hes really macedonian and we are descendants of alexander the great is this true?

Yes every account your dedo said is true so the first thing you should start off by doing is change your surname to your true macedonian surname and from that region it would sound something like dimitrov or dimitrovski depending. Tell all to your so called greek friends and relatives what the true fact is.
