To others here, the camera is just a tool. If you want to create amazing images as McNally can do, hook-up yourselves on making more images and using different sets of skills and techniques. It's not because you have a D4 or a 1DX and etc. it does not mean you can create amazing photographs. =)

Nice footage, and nice pics. But hey, big deal. My Canon 1D4 does the job just as well with equal (if not better) IQ and WITHOUT the use of the flashes and softboxes.Show me what the D4 does without the extra's and you might be able to impress me.

It's not the camera, all cameras are just a box that collects light. If the lighting is bad, you'll going to record bad images. His knowledge of lighting is what makes him and takes awesome photos. With his knowledge, he's also able to accomplish his major assignments just by using speed lights and no studio strobes. He'll use studio strobes only if necessary, otherwise he'll dominate all his work with SB-800s which he swears by as his bread and butter no the camera.

@aswolf did you realized how man was compared to joe? he was shooting him at eye level, so if joe was standing straight up the angle would be pointed down, it wouldn't have had the same effect. 2cents
