Just revisited some of the series on Netflix, and discovered one problem with this episode. Bridge was never the SPD red ranger. He started out as green, then when Jak left the team and Sky got promoted to red, Bridge got promoted to blue, but never red.

@Dragonzord571 Yeah, actually I had made that comment after completing SPD, but before watching this episode from Wild Force. My comment was accurate, during SPD Bridge never did promoted to red, but the explanation he gave during Wild Force about being from the future and given the power for this purpose works. (Translation, the actors for Jak or Sky were not available.)

@goattke He did SAY he was promoted (as in permanently), not temporarily given the red SPD morpher. Somewhere after the end of SPD Supreme Commander Birdy retired, Cruger moved up to head of SPD (can't think of a reason why he'd do that), Sky moved up to replace Doggie as the Shadow Ranger and Bridge was next in line for SPD red ranger.

Bridge sums it up pretty clearly in this episode.

If you would have actually looked at what I replied to Dragonzord571, I watched this video and made that comment after finishing SPD but prior to watching the "Once A Ranger" episode, so I was unaware of what had happened and was making an observation based on what I had seen so far. I got out of watching Power Rangers a long time ago but got back into watching it with my kids thanks to Netflix.

It's not that Disney didn't want the original theme or morph, but Saban wouldn't sell the rights to MMPR and the old series, so Disney had to change to a new morph so not to violate copyrights.

The blame for not having the original music is on Saban for not lending the rights.
