@XxROGERxX1993 I just checked the likes/dislike bars; the "like" beats "dislike" by 23.4 to 1! So what's "fake or gay" got to do with it? The usual YT jealousy syndrome maybe?
Judging by your name I'd say you were born in 1993 so I guess you have the "young and stupid" excuse going for you!
Mike Johnson does this double stroke thing between his right hand and right foot. very clever... but unless you've practiced RRrr RRrr with your right hand and right foot for a few years, it ain't easy to do.
This guy is using single strokes, this is an easier fill to manage.
Thank you! rookie drummer appreciates it, I can stay in time all night, it's the cymbals I haven't completely worked in yet, again thank you any advice would be appreciated, I'm almost have it but it's not natural.
you are my absolute favorite man, i watch your videos every single day and they are fantastic in helping my expand my drumming vocabulary, thank you so much man
you are the best teacher i ve ever listened to.....great job...you have the gift to make the others listen to you....please ,i would be gratefull if you could upload a groove rythm with groove brakes...!thanks again....greece says hi!;)
wouldn't everyone just learn a trick they could use sometime in their playing, instead of putting it down? Anyways, i feel double bass is soooo lazy. that's just my opinion. People like Buddy Rich, John Bonham, Zach Hill, kill it with one bass drum pedal!
You are burnt alright, this very much has a five stroke double kick feeling punch much like doing a flam on the floor tom ahead of the kick to achieve a similar sound.
@BurntToast355: Yes, I must admit I did say "base" instead of "bass", much to my chagrin. It's an error I've never made before and one I shall endeavour not to reiterate. However, unlike you, I try to make helpful constructive comments. Max is a good player deserving of respect and encouragement, not petty negative criticism.
Like many sad cases,I think you're most likely motivated by jealousy.
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!! Jealousy huh....You really have no clue boy. None whatsoever........I only criticize those who are on a lower level than me, musically.
Well you could say it's a matter of opinion. I was just saying that someone who says completely generic and unoriginal shit on a youtube video is a tool. just the same old pointless declaration. Thats what i was saying.
not the point fucktard it dont matter how much effort he puts into it its just something to use to expand your knowledge of the drumset and can be useful as many things
the size of the set dosent make a drummer, its the drummer that makes thse set. Hes using the least amount of drums just to show he can do double effect without all this ither bullshit. This guy could play with a friggin bass, snare and hi hat and burry guys who have 8 pc kits. Very Talented. Watch some of his other vids.
Think what you want, every time I see a drummer use a double pedal to play anything but blast beats at 200 BPM I think, "what a sissy, just practice more." Whatever, it's your drumset, play it how you like. I still think double pedals are a copp out.
What is interesting is that all of the methods are good! depending on what you want to play,,,,,,,personally I use this method and play a double pedal, and depending on the riff you want to get and how to exit beck to the groove determines the method used to play it. This fellow does a very nice job!
Maybe if you're some spoiled little kid from the burbs but some people don't have the luxury to buy new gear and have to work with what they have. Besides, double bass is a cop out. Put in enough practice you can do anything one footed you can two footed.
haha, I have zero intention of buying a double bass pedal, because they're useless to me, but SOME people can't afford it, believe it or not, to such a degree that they couldn't "just get one." They might be able to save but I was commenting on the implication that anyone can just up and get one.
Useless to me. I don't use them. Have a ball. Use them all you want. I don't need it and don't want it, it takes up space and I don't play music that would ever necessitate a double bass pedal. My original point was that people can do things on a single pedal you can do with a double, it just takes practice and dedication. What's so wrong with that? Why all the shit talking because I encourage single pedal applications of double pedal techniques? Y'all are short sighted.
JoJo Mayer you fuckin reet. He can play single bass drum faster than you can play too. Also John Bonham as mentioned. Actually what kind of shitty band do you play in where the drummer CANT play doubles on a single. All the bands I play with don't use double pedals. The only music where it is needed most is metal.
I've seen double basses in use since as early as '69 or '68. Mostly progressive band drummers. They weren't using double bass pedals, just two kick drums.

Hey! Sorry took so long to answer just been busy. i play traditional grip sometimes but it's not as strong as my matched grip. It's been my life experience that people who are at a high musical level NEVER criticise anyone unless asked and even then, they do so constructively.

Look at the comments on all Max's videos, the vast majority like what he does and show respect, only a small minority like you show their low class.
All you can do is use uppercase text as if that will help your non-existent case. Since you're obviously a kid I'll let you have the last word.
