  • WOW.. I LOVE LeANN even more know for doing this and her tears really moved me.. ITS TRUE.. its not everyday a country singer today, stands up for THE LGBT community and for that.. I TAKE MY HAT off to her for doing this.. As a gay, latino man, who has been teased and bullied for my sexuality.. ANYONE who has an open heart to care for a minority group deserves recognition and a standing ovation!! THANK YOU LeAnn for this!! WE LOVE <3

  • I've always loved her voice, but when she sang "Jizz in My Pants" on the MTV Awards, I knew that she was cool. Way cool. Search for it on YouTube because her performance with Chris Isaac and Forrest Whittaker singing the hits of Adam Samberg (of SNL) was EPIC. And I mean that literally.

    That even now,in the 21st century,in these so-called more 'enlightened' times,young LBGT people are feeling the only 'way' is for them to take their own lives is truly a TRAGEDY! We can only hope that eventually,though I'd prefer sooner rather than later,things WILL get better!

  • It means a lot when a country singer speaks out for the LGBT community because stereotypically the Country genre is portrayed as homophobic (which it is to some extent) but this was such a beautiful, absolutely heart warming and tear jerking performance. I respect her SOOO much more for this.

  • Yeah, we just booked LeAnn Rimes to come to Milwaukee Pridefest 2011... I've always loved her and this just makes me cry to see her stand up and give such inspirational words. I love how genuine she was here... AMAZING! I can't wait to cheer her on at our Pride event!

  • *sigh* When will I ever be allowed to marry him? When will people stop calling others "gay" and mean to imply the person is homosexual and lesser? Why am I less than the other people in my school because I love someone different? Why do people say homosexuality is "unnatural" when over 200 species of animals have homosexual behavoirs (Penguins in particular, lions, heynas, giraffes, etc.)? When will the hate stop?

  • What a great job done here. I first came across this channel after the It Gets Better Video and recently came back to find this. Thank you for sharing this on here. Its time that everyone is able to be themselves without fear or hate being cast on them. I shared this on my facebook and hope that is ok. I really find peace when watching your videos.   • thank-you...its just so hard to imagine it getting better when you are there...but,it really does...i ran gay nightclubs, lived the life, married my partner, adopted 5 children...and now am happy stay at home dad...but once, when I was young...i saw nothing ahead...go figure...its funny, this thing we call life.

  • I lost my best friend and the most imp. person in my life last dec. This was by far his favorite song and was even played at his funeral! I watch this often through tears in my eyes and think of how great he was and wonder how i will ever get by without him.Time cannot heal the unexpected tragedy that occured but the memories somehow get you from day to day. thank you Leanne for this incredible song and for keeping my memories of John alive! RIP John D. WE LOVE YOU!

You should not HAVE to hide who you are, but it may be the best course until you're old enough to get away from the bigots. It does get better! Hang in there, and bless you!
