@graciousSenor It's actually the most amazing city I've ever been too (and I have travelled all around the world). I don't want to sound disrespectful towards the maker of this video, but to me the city is much more exotic, filled with culture and delicious foods, ancient and new at the same time, lying both in Europa and in Asia. It has so much history (dating back from before Byzantium, after that Constantinople and nowadays Istanbul) that it can still be felt with every step you take today :)
@graciousSenor But too answer your question, Istanbul does have a huge traffic problem :P Though in other parts of Turkey this is not so much the case. The further east you go, the less cars. Nowadays over 22 million people live in Istanbul (including surrounding villages/towns that have now been swallowed by the city and have no become suburbs of Istanbul. If you live in the outer rim on the Asian side, and you have to travel to outer parts on the Europe side, it'll take you a day to get there.
@jruurd Just from reading your first post Istanbul sounds like a beautiful city, rich with culture and stories. Turkey is like a geographical gem in a way. It connects two continents and seems to have the history and exotic feel to show for it. I'm jealous of you, your traveling experience! Was it one of your favorite countries that you visited in your travels?
@graciousSenor Planning to go back for at least a year, maybe longer:) gem is the right word, nice one. Turkey definitely is 1 of my favorite countries for traveling. It has snow capped mountains, huge - jungle like - forests, desert like places with amazing landscapes and villages, and it's surrounded by seas. add the various cultures and you have an amazing place full of history (over 10.000 years) from the very birth of religion to places like Troy et cetera :) I highly recommend a visit :)
Great work, fuck the typo and all of those who start their comments with something negative. Some people only find criticisms and are jealous haters. Keep on going can't wait to see more.
It's pretty annoying how everybody cares about the video resolution (Why 720p and not 1080p. Buhu. I cry.) and the typo and nobody realizes how awesome for instance 0:57 was when you could see the houses as well as the sky absolutely perfect.
Many of you might not know it but you can only achieve such results with HDR and it takes quite a while to wait and take all these pictures, not mentioned the time for post production and all that for just some seconds of video.
@stmad10 That's what I said. HDR means High Dynamic Range and HDR images are achieved by taking three or sometimes even more images and putting them together. And so of course you can only create a timelapse with HDR because the pictures are taken in intervalls. :-)
@LukasVideosify But this is a video, and if people are complaining about the video quality, then it's because they want to see the very best this camera can do, for video. Timelapse is irrelevant for most video. And those timelapse images are possible simply by shooting raw with a d7000 - I can pull 6 stops out of the shadows with that camera.
@stmad10 Well, 6 stops? Rather not. At least I'd really like to see that. If people just want to value the overall image quality they shouldn't watch it on YouTube anyways but rather on Vimeo due to all these compression artefacts on YouTube.
Fascinating movie and it seems everybody noticed the typo. Not everybody was born in an english speaking country but who actually cares? Just watch the movie and stop criticising. just njoy (oups, seems I made a typo)
