yes it does, the progam wont do the work for you so you need some basic modelling skills.

hey u can download sketchup 7 pro for free easily...... just look for the vid on utube thats wat i did and its easy 2 install. wen u download u get the liscence numbers and all that and i got it for free. the whole thing wit layout and style builder. its easy to set up

Google is probably one of the only technology companies you cant call "money grabbing" - all their programs and search features they give us for free over the last 10 years, with a bit of advertising stuck on the side. hardly Micro$oft territory, old bean.

not necessarily. I use Sketchup for fun (hobby) and I would love this feature and use it constantly. Reason to fork out £341??? Not for a hobbyist. If Google offered Layout as a £20 plugin, then yeah.

Of course, for an architectural company, it's peanuts compared to AutoCad and such.

Google has to make money somewhere. It's given you a great 3D program for nothing! I think it's entirely fair to charge professional prices for professional tools.
