  • I just read today that Airbus A340 production has ended and that there will be no more A340's built. What is out there is it. The article was dated on November 11, 2011.

  • 1:07 seen that out the corner of my eye and thought it was a sonic boom

  • OH SHIT AT 1:07 I THOUGHT IT BLEW UP! AHA I MEAN I WASN'T LOOKING AT THE SCREEN I SAW IT FROM THE CORNER OF MY EYE. :]]

  • Very neat plane and aerobatics. Great video. Hope to someday see an A346 in person whether at an airshow or at an international airport.

  • @enbanet I wouldn't say that. Tex Johnston barrel rolled one.

  • @enbanet I couldn't see the Airbus doing a Barrel Roll, as the 707 did ;-)

  • @zlindriver

you can't compare these two aircraft. the A340 is superior in almost every way. makes sense, as it's been modernized continuously.

  • @Croopskate

I think you didn't get the point. It was about doing Aerobatic maneuvers, which the A340 never did, nor in this video neither somewhere else...

It was not about how modern the planes are, as they were built in decades apart. So pls don't start a discussion which is useless...

  • Great plane just dont like the wings. Over reacts to turbulance

  • @enbanet not a fanboy but can A340-600 do a barrel roll???

  • @jainish007 Any aircraft can perform a barrel roll, no matter how big or small.

  • @VIR092 well...ok, but keep in mind that 707 is an old technology compared to joy stick in aibus

  • @jainish007 Despite a change in flight control technology, both control inceptors (either yoke or sidestick, hydraulic or FBW) still control aerosurfaces the same way. Maneuvering the craft is the same. You just don't get the "feel" through a sidestick on an A-340 like a yoke in a B-707. That's all. = )

  • @enbanet dude 707 did a barrol roll:D

  • omfg I didn't know A340 could take off like this :D

  • STALL WARNING! STALL WARNING! STALL WARNING!

  • @enbanet and it wans't 80 meters long ^^

  • MUY BUENA LA ACROBACIA DEL AEROBUS!!!!

  • @cjracer, it wasn't actually a 707. it was the prototype for it, the 367-80. but back then, jet engines weren't as powerful as the one's we have these days

  • @enbanet 707 did a roll...

  • @cjracer1000 Yeah but 707 is nowhere near as big and wide as this Airbus! Sure 707 is not an agile jet fighter but I don't a plane this could do a barrel roll but you never know! :)

  • wow i would rather watch paint dry

  • smOOOOOOOTH touchdown !!!!!!

  • @enbanet You are joking aren't you? Tex Johnson barrel rolled a 707...!

  • @enbanet You are joking aren't you? Tex Johnson barrel rolled a 707.

  • after a 340 & a380 , boing should change thier business to produce corn flakes!!!

  • The A346 is my third favourite aircraft but the 380 is the best

  • 0:33 omg look at this turn. It looks like the plane's speed is dropping fricken fast. WOW.

  • I love the 340 family of aircraft...but the 346 just doesn't look right to me. Call me out on it if you want, but it just doesn't look...balanced. It looks too long IMO. I'll admit, the 340 is wonderful to fly in, but still...

  • Airbuses are very awesome...

Not only A340, but I love almost all of Airbus family...

  • It's aerobatics. Airplanes are not trapeze.

  • Yeah Im a Boeing person but I gotta admit that the A340 is pretty sexy, slender like it is. Ive never gotten to fly on one, does it take a long time to load and unload passengers?

  • Nope, infact it's pretty efficient in loading and unloading. Not to mention emergency evacuation, due to it's enormous length.

That's my favorite plane btw. And I'm an aribus fan. I like boeings as well! But yeah seeing this baby aerodinamic performances.

  • graceful big bird!

  • I LOVE THE A340 :) ♥

  • The A340-600 is the most elegant looking airliner out there. So long and slender!

  • @revaholic that's what she said.

  • The Airbus A340-600 is awesome. One of the best planes around. Nice video

  • is to dangerous with winds and the plane was empty because he climb like vertical

  • this is not as wierd as it looks since an

    a340-600

  • HOLY FUCK! you definitly dont want to be passenger in this plaine when it takes of like that! (yes i know its a show)

  • A380 - Showoff jock older brother

B777 - Neighbour who stole his girlfriend right before prom

B747 - Other neighbour that is always watching football and having loud barbeques

  • haha classic!

  • @siamesefish the A380 is a whale

  • LOL, If it's passengers on board they will pull at least 2 G to 3 G ...

  • maximum is 2g, for any Airbus.

  • yeah most of this stuff looks pretty but hes not doing more than 1.5 g's i bet.

  • Well that's the maximum, that FEP will let the plane do. They can withstand allot and allot more before they'll get damaged. Airbusses had proven to have very solid airframes, for example: Great ditching performances.

  • it climbs like an elevator.........

  • OMG! i can hardly watch! it looks scary!

  • That thing looks like it's got so much thrust it could go completely vertical!

  • most probably its empty thats why

  • i cant believe that the airbus could actually do all of those things

  • coooool I think it was on the ILA Berlin maybe 2006!!!!

  • Pretty amazing what can happen when you take an aircraft designed with such an amazing MTOW and fly it totally EMPTY at an airshow! Still got all that immense power, with nothing to hold you back.. I wonder what the power to weight ratio of the 600 is when it's empty?

  • An jet engine of a commercial aircraft would be 8,000 pounds of thrust.

    8,000 X 4 = 32,000 LBS of thrust.

  • Comment removed

  • Thats one Kickass Airbus!!!!!!

  • Oh my god, look at this climb!!! And the bank angle! It's perfectly possible do it on FS, but I tought it was possible because FS had a poor flight dinamics simulation... now I see it's a matter of audacy! :D

  • excellent!

  • go home.

  • A thing of beauty

  • It's actually called "aerobatics" not "acrobatics."

  • this one is much longer than b777

  • Ah. The A346 is my favorite aircraft. the length + double engines on each wing catch my eye

B777-300 is not far behind on my list ;)

  • pilot jst retired from airforce... soo u kno!! :) sum old fashion of past days.

  • It sure as hell was. Google "Tex Johnson" he flew the damn thing upside down.

  • Hope to someday be on one. An 340-300 will be my ride across the Pacific next week, also nice.

  • wow,,that was a stiff take off,,,rulezzzzzz

  • Airbus Rules!

  • Definitivamente es un gran avion,...pero me imagino que con su peso completo, lleno completo de pasajeros, equipaje y combustible no sera tan agil.

  • The boeing 707 "Can" & "Did" do a barrel roll! I'd like to see any of Airbus's aircraft try that! There's a video here on youtube showing it.

  • and why did it do that? erm well no one one the ground was paying attention to it they all had there interests in another aicraft. so the pilot of the 707 decided to do it, and the pilot didnt know if it would crash or not.

  • Ahh, FYI,...The pilot did know that the 707 could do a barrel roll! He did it to show everyone the capabilities that the Boeing 707 had. Don't get me wrong though! The Airbus is quite a fine aircraft,....I've flown in several of their 320's with "America West"

    Very nice flights indeed!!!!!

  • Dude, acrobatics is a wrong term...acrobatics is the term use by gimnastic..

    AEROBATIC it is...

  • Testing such large plane in such matter is dangerous at low altitudes. Something similar was done by the A330 Chief Test Pilot a few year back and it ended in a crash and tragedy. Neatvideo...

  • If you read the notes on the A330 crash you will it was under test. The computers on this aircraft would not let it climb like this if they did not think it was safe.

  • The crash happened as they were testing the flight computers....Risky business...Neat video

  • They werent testing flight computers but tail heavy config with a failed engine.Airbus computers are backed up by alternative computers, ELACS FACS AND SECS

  • Imagine if there are passengers aboard.

They'll go SICK! Great vid! ;D

  • I wouldn't.... I'd be laughing.

  • woww haha, thats amazing for a passenger plane
