  • Just want to say that the mayor's line "Citizens aren't allowed in here....This is public property!" is one of my favorite lines of any cartoon.

  • the clock plan is pretty awful when you think about it.

  • The girl mouse looks just like his sister. Maybe they mean him to do something nice for his family by playing with her, but not romantic love.

  • This Is Also One Of My Favorite Christmas Shows, I Remember when I was young, My mother, father, sister and I was in our car, we was going to spend christmas with my grandparents at the farmhouse in Canton, South Dakota. and I also remember my mother made me practice reciting part of this poem to my grandmother. I hope someday i'll recite the whole poem to my niece's, when they are older.

  • I think that the reason they cut out the "Give Your Heart a Try" song had more to do with cramming in more commercials than censoring the word "gay'.

  • So,the mouses first name is "Father"?

  • I Still Love This Christmas Cartoon, and I Still Remember, my mother, father, lil sister, and I would be driving down the highway, we was going to spend christmas at the farmhouse in Canton, south dakota, and I also remember my mother used to make me practice reciting part of that beautiful poem to my grandmother, that's the best christmas memory.

  • I Still Love This Christmas Cartoon, I still remember my mother, father, and lil sister driving down the highway, we was going to spend christmas at the farm house in canton, south dakota, and i also remember my mother used to make me practice reciting part of that beautiful poem to my grandmother, when we was at the farm house in canton, south dakota, i had to recite part of that beautiful poem to my grandmother. and i think my grandmother liked it.

  • thanks for posting this i looked everywhere for it

  • Thank you for uploading the full, uncut version of this. ABC Family always cuts out the song beginning at 7.58.

  • I Can't wait For Christmas, 139 more sleeps till christmas.

  • Sigh.... 6 months til Christmas. I wonder if department stores have Christmas Merchantdise on display already at the end of June?

  • sooooo sweet! love this :)

  • This is great. Thanks for the upload and Merry Christmas to you.

  • this hasn't been on tv this season yet that i've seen. thx for uploading!

  • That North Pole mouse on the phone is the same voice as Jingle Elf from The Year Without A Santa Claus

  • I remember watching this special when I was a kid and CBS aired it back in the 1980's. I saw this on ABC Family a couple years back and they edited out the Father Mouse Song" Give Your Heart A Try". Because they say the word "gay" in the lyrics. Dosen't ABC realize the word gay also means 'happy"? This is what Politcal Correctness has done to the Christmas Season. It' has turn Christmas into a joke.

  • Yes, I loved that song too, because it gave Albert a little mouse girlfriend and showed his daydreams of being a hero/prince charming to someone. Aw...so cute.

ABC Family also cut two songs from Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town. 'A Kiss A Toy' and 'My World Is Beginning Today', both great songs (esp. 'My World...')

  • @adhfan75 For some reason they are back in this year when ABC family showed it it was uncut I couldn't believe it

  • @adhfan75 im 16 and i watch this evrey year and when i watched it this year they didnt cut out tht song and i like was like so surprised cuz iv mustv seen this a million times and i never heard tht song and its soooocute thts y i came to this vid to find the song

  • @PJSkins26: If they didn't want the word 'gay' in any of teh songs anymore then why didn't they take down Deck The Halls? Is it just because it's to popular to take down?

  • @PJSkins26 I noticed that in other uploads of this movie. I always wondered why.

  • Comment removed

  • @PJSkins26 yeah that was long b4 the word "gay" came to mean homosexual. its sad someone say "gay" and just mean "happy" anymore w/o being questioned.

  • @PJSkins26 the movie just doesnt seem complete without that song it think.

  • @PJSkins26 What's even worse, saying Merry Christmas is a foul word as well! PC sucks!!!

  • @PJSkins26 Are you serious? I always thought it was cut for time and to put in more sponsers.Thats crazy I love that song

  • @PJSkins26 They use the word in a similar context in Disney's Cinderella. I'm amazed no one has tried to edit that out yet.

  • @PJSkins26 ABC is so gay. ...Wait. :P

  • @PJSkins26

LOL. People are so quick to blame "political correctness" for everything these days, even when it really has nothing to do with the situation. In this case, consider the source---ABC Family is one of the WORST networks in terms of respecting the stuff they air, and respecting the audience's desire to actually have some kind of an involving viewing experience. Among other tacky things, they are notorious for slicing and dicing their shows to cram in all the ads they can.

  • @Marbles471 Besides that, the word 'gay' is hardly noticeable! And anyway, there's a million other things you could do instead of cutting out the whole song. Seriously, ABC, wtf?

  • @PJSkins26 OMG I just saw it on TV and it does have that song in it :) :D

  • "Let up a little on the wonder why and give your heart a try!"

Love this cartoon! One of my all time favorites!

  • Rotten Kid!

  • i love this!!
