I don't think that anyone who has reached some fame wants to think of themselves as a 1 hit wonder. he was in the business I think in 83 a little before her. @BTAKVE I didn't say he got her into drugs. That was her decision. I said she was under his control. I do think he was abusive to her. She was madly in love with him so much that she allowed him to control her, and her career suffered. All of this was her decision, but she defended him just like many abused women do. They deny reality because they lose their self confidence. I hope Bobby has changed and really is off the stuff, but he still drinks, so really doubt he's clean.

While he found a younger woman and started a new family.

I wasn't on drugs. I was just a teenager. I was still just in high school. I wasn't 18 yet, but I finished enough for several albumns before my 18 birthday. I left Arista before I turned 18. Every body knew which artists did enough drugs, but which ones did not.
@fede4real I had a back ground singer who used to get to the studio drugged enough to just back me up. I used just go off! They used to just have to just get me out that damn face! I hated enough of that mess. If they came to studio high, I used to just cuss them "without", which meant I used to just cuss at then until they either lost their job enough, or just left and went home enough until the next night.

Not sure what happened, but for young male artist, when you marry and settle down, you tend to lose a big part of your fan base....and the music industry has a way of using you till they've pretty much drained you dry!

I don't think that anyone who has reached some fame wants to think of themselves as a 1 hit wonder. he was in the business I think in 83 a little before her. But to emphasize because his career tanked it would make sense that he would resent hers. I do believe that they both loved intensely at one point

@BTAKVE I didn't say he got her into drugs. That was her decision. I said she was under his control. I do think he was abusive to her. She was madly in love with him so much that she allowed him to control her, and her career suffered. All of this was her decision, but she defended him just like many abused women do. They deny reality because they lose their self confidence. I hope Bobby has changed and really is off the stuff, but he still drinks, so really doubt he's clean.

He's not that old. If you're going to continue a career in music as he once had, then before charging fans, these entertainers should be able to put on a good show and not just work off who they use to be. New Edition was a dancing and singing group. Their show now is just a party on stage.

The divorce was hard, and it's never easy to watch the man who you loved for so long move on with his life so easily. She still struggled to stay clean and her voice had been damaged. she was older. While he found a younger woman and started a new family.

I wasn't on drugs. I was just a teenager. I was still just in high school. I wasn't 18 yet, but I finished enough for several albumns before my 18 birthday. I left Arista before I turned 18. Every body knew which artists did enough drugs, but which ones did not.
