This is for if you haven't figured how to get past the dragon.

Dash straight through (preferably with lower equip load) and keep an eye on the right for a staircase leading down. once down the staircase there should be a dark looking passage which is a shortcut to the previous bonfire. don't just fall down remember to knock the ladder down.
