  • MAN DO I LOVE THIS MAN,HIS VOICE AND LOOKS (R.I.P.) HOWLIN WOLF

  • This man said save your soul and quit worrien that will eat your sole like he told him by the drinkin. Its hides problems but don't fix them

  • Look at the boy and said u drunk all yo shit lol kool video

  • Tell 'em Wolf. They don't know. Tell 'em.

  • this is pretty scarry

  • I love his voice that deep raspy type voice real unique never be another howlin wolf RIP

  • Son house didn't like none of that fried chicken blues. But in the end they are both legends and deserve to be in the top of the charts even today.

  • 4 people never had the blues

  • Does anyone know what's Howling Wolf's setup in this video? I would love to replicate that sound of his.

  • @StrogenZalec9456 guitar or vocals?

  • @HaxxyHagberg guitar. I want to capture the rawness that guitar.

  • @StrogenZalec9456 Your first step is to find a place that sell tube amps. Preferably nearby so you can test before you buy. You want one that has a little bit of crackle and isnt uber bright on the high end.

  • @StrogenZalec9456 Thats a Gibson Firebird V, played straight through an old 60;s white-face Gibson Amp, maybe a Skylark.. thats it.

  • Son House is hilarious.

Son House And Howlin Wolf Are the best

  • He was a good man.

    Intelligent too.

  • dablues . hes amazing ! omg , his voice . its amazingggg .

  • I love this so much! RIP!

  • 2 peple never had the blues

  • Plum Into It!

  • is that Son House at 1:25?

The wolf and Son House together god i'd give anything to be there

  • @mongoloid170 I think this vid was taken in a Blues club outside Chicago.

  • they totally improvised the whole song right?

  • @horbergaren No this is an actual song but it is improvised in the sense that they don't play it exactly the same way everytime.

  • Does anyone else hear the bells chiming behind him here?

  • Awesome music and song. Love the blues!

    Grandma mary

  • The Guy In The Beginning Mouthin Off To Wolf, Was About To Get Fucked Up By Wolf.

  • you know it's really no surprise that this stuff eventually turned into the punk and metal genera, gruff vocals, snazzy guitar licks, and topics for poor people :D

  • hi is damn good

  • you would have to be real drunk to start a fight with this man

  • love his talk at the start,so funny

  • My favorite line about the blues, I think. "Anytime you're thinking evil, you're thinking about the blues."

  • Wow!!! RESPECT

    Thanks for this,

@krang07... I agree... in fact this is priceless

  • treasure!

  • Thank you for this. What a treasure.

Too little of Wolf's guitar is recorded.

I find it limited but effective.

    Better than I can do!

    Or Eric Clapton.

  • He spoke the truth 0 to 1:18 , these men spoke with wisdom. The blues is the truth.

  • In 1972, I asked Howlin' Wolf what the key to a long career in the music business was. His answer was short and perfect.. He said, " Never change your act ".

  • I wonder if hubert was there?

  • Hubert played guitar on this set

  • do you have any more footage of wolf

  • no :(

  • That Sax player kinda sucks. His playing was just boring and annoying. I'm not saying that he should have jumped into a flashy solo, but he could have been a little more musical.

  • Hmmhm I love you.. Also happens to be one of my favourite wolf songs

  • Thanks for uploading this!

  • this is one of the best things Ive ever seen in my life i swear. Wolf's one of my favorite fellas. But I love him even more after seeing this. thanx.

  • How about him layin' it down on the meaning of the blues, and using Son House (who's drunk and mouthing off to Wolf) as an example of "damn shore got the blues" ?

  • Wuzz'at Son House??

I thought it was just a random drunk dude. i really dont think its Son House. .....but i dunno. Theyre both awesome.

  • Could have been - you can see Son in the very start of the clip - heres the actual clip of that performance /watch?v=MLD9Iej5nRc Son House was there, but I dont think it was the guy talking- Son's voice was very raspy.

  • Son was drunk Son was talking sh3445t No one I mean no one talks that mess to the Wolf and does not get cut dwon fast.

RIP Wolf and Albert King. 2 best.

  • It is son house heckling. If you watch the whole video its obvious. I think he was annoyed that a younger man like Howlin Wolf (who was an imitator of Patton) would lecture a room like that.

  • Yeah, it's Son House. Wolf did an interview and talked about it. Son House got wasted and started mouthing off. You'd have to be drunk to pick a fight with Howlin' Wolf, he was huge.

  • @Iused2BeGod drunk and stupid. I have been drunk a lot, but never that stupid.

  • @Iused2BeGod he was built for comfort, not huge

  • Yes it was Son House.
