@masm60 PVC cement is great for plumbing, but not great for the more complex structures in the DIY flight simulators. PVC cement dries way too fast for these projects and has some pretty harsh fumes.
How many joints do you get out of a tube of glue (on average)? 1 screw per joint = 50 joints. The "if you run out" logic applies equally to glue and screws. If you run out, you run out.
@scott98390 I don't know, I never counted. I'm sure it's more than 50 though. The point is simply cost awareness. Two boxes of screws are $10, two tubes of glue are $3. I don't think it's a big deal, but some of the people that email me do.
@hopper1 PVC cement is ideal for plumbing projects, but it's terrible for building home DIY flight simulators. PVC cement dries fast and permanent, and it's very difficult to make DIY Flight Simulator structures that are straight and even.

Is there a reason you don't use the PVC cement. That would resolve the drying time issue.

Thank you for this overview! I'm also curious which is more sturdy? Seems the glue would stand up to, say, squealing children.
