  • whine could be anything. why do you have to assume its the board. whine comes from psu alot

  • @Alwyn1000 only happend when the SSDs were accessed

    -Price

  • which is why people have overclocked with the ud7 to 5ghz.....

  • they are not gonna individually test every single motherboard that goes out of the factory.

  • I have a 2600k and an MSI Big Bang Marshal P67. Will I be able to upgrade to ivy bridge when it comes out with a BIOS update?

  • @AwesomeGamingReviews Uhhhh no. Ivy bridge is a hardware thing.

    -Lavco

  • @LavcoPriceTech I know that its a whole new architechture but some boards are allowing the new chips through just an update. It uses the same socket.

  • @AwesomeGamingReviews Check MSI's website, a lot of manufacturers are updating.

  • Asus garanty, is full of shit ! they fooking accuse me that i bent a CPU pin in the socket, i heard the same story over internet ! the northbridge burned and they try to not respect the garanty. Asus, Gigabyte, MSI they dont fooking care about costumers ! took a full month for my 6950 to get a new one, they told me they forgot it in the warehouse, i built more then 40 computers a years, and i have always have to fight with this basters ! and they don't pay the shipping for canada !

  • @Kaidox1971 Scumbag asus!

    -Lavco

  • asus, is ok for me.

  • I sold my (1366 PC that I got on 2008, 3 years of 3Ds Max and Gaming, I turn it off just for cleaning and still run smooth) to get LGA 2011, and now this my the 3rd month without PC because of these new mobos, all got problems!, WTH happen to them! o.O

  • @GamesArt86 I did the same thing!

    -Lavco

  • MSI makes the best motherboards... i have never had an MSI product fail on me.

  • haha, me and my asrock :D

  • I can't remember if you guys already went over this but should I get sandy bridge-e (3930k) or wait for ivy?

  • @KingofAeons Wait for ivy

    -Lavco

  • @KingofAeons really depends how much mone you want to spend, imo

  • @VictimRAID Money doesn't matter (to a point), I want something for video editing, 3D modeling, and Adobe master collection. Sometimes all at the same time.

  • @KingofAeons you would be fine waiting for Ivy, but i went for the 3930K for video editing, bechmarking/overclocking and gaming.

if you want max performance and dont want to wait then go for the 3930K, but if you want great performance, dont want to spend $600+ and dont mind waiting a few months then go for Ivy 3770K

  • Comment removed

  • @VictimRAID Months? That is longer than I had hoped. I would also like one that would stand up against the time. (I bought my 1366 in 2008 and it's still going.)

  • @KingofAeons Intel is slated to launch Ivy Bridge on April 8, so just over a month, bet either the 3770K and 3930K will last for years

  • That's what you get for making every review super bias.

  • @dodplayer11 cry some more

    -Price

  • De-sync!

  • as for as star-wars goes they are going to release it every 10 years or so till the end of time so that a new generation of Yong brats can see it in the movies , Lucas is a sell out that that cant come up with nothing new any good and when he tries like Indiana Jones look what we get!! star-wars sucks, i am much more a battlestar galactica fan

  • ok so i clicked to see the damage and i got i got pause !! must be a damaged mouse that i have !!!

  • I have the same ssd, I really thought that's why it was whining, must me my G1A2

  • I watched this twice is what I meant.

  • I now have watched this... while righting a magazine.

  • speechless on what to say about this MB. Hope Gigabyte figures out whats going on with this board and address it, not just a bios update.

  • i have also had problems with all brands i think some % of all pc products are faulty dose not matter what brand or product that just the way it seems to be in the industry :(

  • Asus boards guys I haven't had a problem yet

  • @chetaday A person in the comments on this video begs to differ. And I have found somepeople saying the RAM dims dont work.

    -Lavco

  • @LavcoPriceTech we all know that there is 100% chance that some of the boards no matter what the bran is . is going to have some bad/doa boards !! now if it was me and money was no problem i would go with asus its just an-overkill board and we all know that is nice :P

  • @LavcoPriceTech Yes thats what happened to me when I first got my Sabertooth x58 board. The DIMM slots didnt work so I had to RMA it. Second one I got though is working flawlessly.

  • @chetaday I'm using an ASUS board right now, but I would never recommend them or any other motherboard company in that fashion; ever... ASUS has absolutely the worst RMA services ever, and I have had multiple asus boards that are DOA.

Every company is going to have flaws in some boards so you cannot recommend them based on just that, but I would never recommend ASUS to anyone, just because of how annoying it was for me to rma an ASUS product.

  • @DrTeeHSea three ASUS boards no DOA yet. guess you must be unlucky enough to have multiple DOA.

  • @port274 That cool, I hope you never have to RMA one.

  • @DrTeeHSea I just let J&R deal with it,much better customer service when you can go to the store and show him its busted (speaking to the ud7 guys),sometimes you just get a customer service representative thats unhelpful and gives you the runaround, and sometimes you get a guy who helps you as soon as you give him the necessary information.I prefer not to judge a company based on RMA,but I understand the frustration that comes with it, "we pay a price for everything we get or take in this world"

  • @port274 first time I have hit the comment letter limit.

  • take a asus I have 3 mobos and all are from asus and they run the best

  • Answering your question about the reviews. I think you should review it if its necessary or if their is important stuff to point out. for example if it broke, did better then a previous item you own and if it was for less. What you could do is you can set a certain amount of likes you want at the end of a video for the review of that product. But i think its fine the way it's going right now.

  • Damn can't believe it happened to your guy's as well! Didn't see this coming , thought you guys had a solid board there.I'm sure Gigabyte will give you a great replacement. But none the less it's silly and they should have tested there X79 line much more before they sent them out. The sheer fact that this is the multiple instance is enough alone to tell me that they need to rework some manufacturing processes. Sad update but hope to see you guys running that high end beast again soon! -Chiefpuff

  • I like how you guys always state the truth about things and not just beat around the bush and say ya its a great product, even though it isnt. Thats a shame about your new MB, You'd think a highend 400 dollar board would go through more testing to ensure fires etc. would not happen. I have always been a fan of gigabyte, never had any issues with there board before, but after this i will think again before buying one again, maybe their quality control is slipping.

  • They already deactivated the ud7

  • I have an asus maximus board and love it which leads me to believe that the bew rampage boards are even better. If your next ud7 dies, go asus

  • Sorry to hear about your board Lavco, i hope that gets sorted out timely for you.

Just out of curiosity what problems did you guys encountered with Asus?

    nice video as always fellas.

  • Corsair is a company I will never buy anything from again. I bought an H100, 650D and and AX850, all of which failed within days of initial use. Also, because I live in Australia, RMAs take weeks, leaving me without a usable computer.

  • @julianshield1 Sorry about that. Yeah corsair sucks

    -Lavco

  • @julianshield1 Are you serious? I'm not in corsair but corsair are good in quality control but a little bit pricey

  • @julianshield1 Yeah I love my 800D however all their other products are junk. I have one of their ssd and it is as slow as an hdd. Should have ponied up the money for the M4. Their products are really good looking but they are not worth the performance hit you take from them.

  • Fuck Sopa!

  • 19:45 Price snorting dat cocaine!

lol jk Great videos guys! :D

  • ASUS <3 my p6t se is still going strong after 3 years lol

  • what about ASROCK ! have you try one yet

  • Count me in for BLACK MARCH!!!!

  • lavco looks sad....

  • BLACK MARCH!!

  • at the start of your vids you should index what youll be talking about

  • Do I Deserve Something?

  • I lol'd when lavco was hiding behind the motherboard

  • The exhaust on the fan is larger so you can mount a fan lower on the case to give more room for bigger rads. Its a really cool case you should look at the specs.

  • Tell the blonde guy to stop whispering. please

  • @hotbeanful im just speaking, lavco is the one yelling, thats what the audio showed in camtasia

    -Price

  • @LavcoPriceTech Stop whispering Price lol

    -Lavco

  • What is RMA'ing mean?

  • @YourPistola basically return

  • @YourPistola I am in the process of Return merchandise authorization

    -Price

  • @YourPistola it means returning the part to the manufacturer in order to get the part replaced or repaired

  • im getting that cpu warranty 10 ghz here i come xD

  • I'm 14 now..... So Hi new best friend.

  • Just for the record I don't hate gigabyte but I hope they make it right. Sorry for your loss Lavco. And BTW you guys can borrow my 570's anytime just give me a heads up and don' t let them catch fire....lol aka odinlives Great update as always and hope this year brings some great things for us all.

  • Your Voice is delayed from 23:00 min

  • Btw good vid as always. Guy on the left is funny:D

  • Hey are you guys studying or something?

  • Go with Asus next time.

  • PICTURES YAY!!!

  • I know this is going to sound weird Lavo and Price; but give ASROCK a chance. I thought they sucked; just that. That is until my friend purchased a P67 Extreme 4 Gen 3 from newegg. I myself have a gigabyte p45 and an e8400 @ 4ghz with a xfx 9800gt. Anyway, my friend within a half an hour overclocked his i5 2500k @ 4.8ghz stable. He did have to adjust the cpu-nb and cpu-ram ratio however there are other great features on the board for the price ($150)

    Keep up the Great Vids!

    ~George

  • @Georgefromboarding we have had an asrock board, Its the same thing as asus

    -Price

  • You guys are correct in saying it was not a power phase that blew up. Where you are incorrect is that it wasn't a choke that caught on fire. From what I can see it looks like a mosfet that caught on fire. Also choke is kind of synonymous with phase. A choke is one of those black cubes, and each cube indicates a power phase of course.

  • 7 billion =]

  • Elric from mobo.org in his vid " building the beast part 2" thought the japanese guy faked it. It looks like a legit issue for gigabyte! Damn i thought they were a good co. Price are you still willing to buy gigabyte?

  • @tumdeax Yes I will, its only one board. My evga board died but if they make someone I want I am going to buy it

    -Price

  • the sound is off synch starting about halfway through

  • @LUDACHRl5 yeah I noticed that

    -Price

  • Ohh god, I love you guys :D

  • @MegaCrustyButt thank you

    -Price

  • @LKxDESIGN yeah yeah lol
