  • George your are blessed with an outrageous talent. I can see that you love the music and I feel only happyness when I listen to your playing.

Your repertoir is already so enormous that I can´t understand when you studied all the difficult pieces!?!?!

If nothing bad happens you will be one of the top ten pianists in the world soon.

There only very few who live the music like you do already now.

  • Bravo my young pianist friend

  • he's young, but Mature....!!!

  • this is a great beethoven sonata, isn't it? you seem to really enjoy it. I'm playing B flat major Op. 22, and that's a fun one too. I'll have videos up for you soon.

  • So Junsukahn, where's the video of you doing this then? I assume you'll have performed it to absolute perfection many times in your sleep if you're being so nit-picky here. So bring it.

  • junsukan envious, probably the kid is playing it after just having listened it from a CD. at 11 yo. he played at carnegie hall. just youtube him

  • 0:01 He´s so young.

  • siempre es un placer escuchar las melodías de este canal, yy sobre todo de este prodigio y su hermanito

    ()()

    (^-^)

  • this is a brilliant performance by an absolute prodigy! amazing intuition.

  • Bravo George! Bravo to your teacher! Bravo to your parents!

When you listen to recordings of Bthvn Sonatas start with Schnabel and Kempff. Watch Richter´s documentary.

I wish all the best to you.

  • Jorgeazamora73, you can't forget Gilel's recordings. they are my favorite, and I've listened to Kempff, Schabel, Richter, and Brendel. However, it's all personal taste. I'm just throwing in another name for George to listen to.

  • además consigue lo que muy pocos niños prodigios consiguen a esa edad que es entender y sentir las estructuras musicales...que maravilla, llegará lejos, muy lejos, no hay duda

  • you are the best!

    wow semplicemente wow!

    dall'italia...con sapore!

  • so clean, but still expressive!!! very nicely done, i always thought this sonata was pretty playful and child-like, so i'm glad you chose to learn it because it seems to suit your personality :)

  • All I can say is: you have a great teacher. Seriously, this is very impressive for just rehearsing. This just goes to show how Beethoven serparates the wheat from the chaff. Your expressiveness really is unbelievable for someone your age.

  • funny ending :)

  • WAW !!

    A LIKE THIS SONG !!

    IT'S SOMETIMES MOVING !

Thanks for you work in the song =)

  • wow! wen i saw it was a kid i was relluctant 2 listen 2 it. as kids i usually see on youtube trying 2 play stuff like this play it with NO emotion. they jus bang thoughtlessly on the keys. bt i have 2 say i wasn't expecting tht sort of a performance frm a kid. well done. u certainly stunned me amd thts nt easy 2 du x

  • I LOVE this sonata!! One of my favorites!

Incredible! Thanks for posting and sharing your talent with others....your admirers!

Thinks for inspiring all of us! I say ALL of us, because I'm sure I speak on behalf of ALL of us!!

  • Brilliant! Very authentic performance.

  • Bravo!!! DA MATTALEM

  • Excellent!

  • Damn that's nice. :D

  • Bravo George,

    J'aime beaucoup

    Danielle

  • beethoven should be played in this way!

  • Great stuff as usual! You do seem to have a great affinity for Beethoven in particular! I could write an essay about why, but I don't think YouTube comment threads are quite the right place for that.

Beautifully played, and emotive, too. :)

  • I am at a loss for words, I could never praise George high enough, he is so AMAZING. Plays the piano better than pianists twice (or even three, four, five, six or seven times) his age. (I mean he is so young and yet so professional). I would be so happy if I could play like that in about 5 yrs time. once again WOW!

  • Shocking. I bet your Mom is proud!

  • Thanks, George!!!

You are skilled far beyond your years and talented beyond belief!!!

    Beautiful solo,

    George Roberson

  • George, when you play, it touches our heart. Thank you so much for sharing with us!

  • My mom and I love how much you enjoy the music. Great job! IF you were to ask someone to listen to this, no one would be able to guess how young you are. This sounds like a professional. Amazing!

  • Very, very good, George! What kind of piano do you play? It's very nice.

  • wow! so awesome :)

  • Excellent word George. Do not forget the passion and love that is required to take exceptional classical music to the next level. Some can enjoy the technical aspects of what you play but most will enjoy your love of music which comes your heart not just your hands.

  • Thanks for bringing out this great point. I will always remember it! George

  • George, you are amazing! You play like a professional!

  • very nice George :)

  • genial...

  • Siempre te digo lo mismo george, sos un genio!!!!! Besos Maripaz

thanx for sending me these great vids

  • Nice!

  • Beautiful playing!

  • you are excellent george. wish our daughter can play like you...soon !!

  • Very impressive, George! Enjoyed every minute of it!

    Little Maxim.

  • Nice!

  • Splendid performance of one of my favorite Beethoven sonatas! Keep it up George! You're amazing =)

  • Excellent work and five stars.

Nothing is missed here: clarity, dynamics,

    expressive phrasing. Bravo!

  • a very solid performance. Bravo!!! Keep it up. Greetings from your friend

  • Loved it, 5 stars

  • Lindo!

  • Very good.

  • Well done George. A very difficult sonata to play. This was the first Beethoven Sonata I ever learned and I found it technically difficult. You get over the semiquaver thirds and broken octaves with clarity and ease. Subtlety of dynamics and touch will come later.

  • Congrats ! Very nice played !

  • Don't be such a stuck up purist all the time. Show us something played on an electronic keyboard, perhaps a Yamaha SX88 set to Phil Harmonic. Such a fine young pianist should command an entirely perfect electronic orchestra with his fingertips.

  • Wonderfully done ! You are the best of the best ^^

  • Nice job. As was said in the recent masterclass I played in, it takes twice as much technique as you think you need in order to play an early Beethoven Sonata (I played 10.3).

  • Great stuff George. Clean yet emotive, and wonderfully performed. You've got some crazy talent, and it's great to see you getting into it.

Beautiful piano, too. Hope you realise how lucky you are to have regular access to a grand!

  • I love this early sonata from Beethoven! The second movement in particular is very subtle. I think there is a video from Murray Perahia playing this particular sonata...

Cheers and keep the great work!

  • omg this is the first song i won first place with... and i was nine then but you are so so amazing that i feel like cursin to describe how effin talented you are haha.

i hope you continue this. i love your passion and perseverance and the fact that youre so young

  • Very good. I think you are ready to work for a more refined sound. Watch how Horowitz plays, close to the keys and his fingers seem to caress each note as they curve inwards -- the idea is to try to avoid a forced sound. Keep up the wonderful work, you are very talented.

  • Thank you for this valuable and yet inspiring comment. I agree totally. George

  • great clarity, particularly important for a Beethoven piece, great job!!!

  • awesome!!!!!!!! KEEP PLAYING :)

  • wow, he makes some weird faces while playing..but hes amazing! =P crazy stuff...

  • hehe... I can say he is very much into the music, that's why he makes that faces, but I am sure this one is not one of those fake faces (like so many others who make face just to show off). he is absolutely amazing.

  • yeah

  • totally agree

  • Once again, terrific playing, George!!!

  • And keep it up! You're so amazing, keep practicing hard.

  • Wow! My mouth is hanging down in awe. This is amazing. I feel like drowning myself. I'm 13 and I can hardly play Fur Elise properly. And look at you! You're like only 11 and oh my gosh! I seriously feel like drowning myself. I'd be like so happy if I could play like that once I'm 14.

  • Excellent work you are very talented

  • Nice outfit your sporting. Great work!

  • super! more more more Beethoven!! =)

  • You're wonderfully talented! It's a joy to watch and listen to you.

  • Awesome little boy. Age? 5*

  • @tehtube

Lol, he was eleven years old.

  • Beautifully played. I played this way a while ago, too. I quit piano after finishing my ARCT Performer's at around 15 years of age. The only advice I can give to you is - keep playing!!! It's such a wonderful skill to have, and it also deteriorates rapidly when you stop playing for a while. I'm now 21, and I can't play anything the way I used to.

  • Bravo! I enjoy your performance very much.

  • It's wonderful.George, what size is the Steinway "L"?

  • George, amazing!!! you are great!!! congratulations

    Santiago

  • good job!! realy good interpretation..fantastic technique

  • Wow! Masterful left hand technique and wonderful interpretation. Very hypnotic to listen to. Fills me with wonder.

  • so natural.. so musical.. so talented.. so beautifulllllll.!!!!!!!! BRAVO George!:):):) 5 Stars!:)No.. 10 stars!:):)

  • George I really enjoy watching and listening to you play. Not only is your musicianship technically outstanding, but you really seem to get into the music emotionally as well. 5 stars is not enough, but since that's all I can give, you shall have them!

  • cool George! more video, I'll show to my son Albert :)

    albert's mom

  • Wonderful George! :) 1000 stars!

  • amazing!

  • A tight & transparent performance; well done. Early Beethoven as it should be played on the Steinway (alomost with a Hammerklavier effect). With such Beethoven I agree that Scarlatti is also fitting for you. But a later Beehoven sonata is maybe a greater challenge for you.

  • Bravo George!

    5 stars!

  • bravo g ,parfait oncore

  • George, dear, when are you going to play Scarlatti? I'd love so much hearing you playing some of his sonatas! As usual, fantastic! I agree, 5 stars, not nearly enough!!!

  • bravissimo George!

  • that is an AMAZING performance, so much style! =)

  • This is quite good and expressive, too. Keep up the great work! (By the way, you do have a very nice piano!) :-)

  • i played this for nationals in MTNA last year. and i got second. :)

  • Congratulations! You've must done extremely well. MTNA is a very high level competition! Hope you can teach me how to improve a bit. Thanks for visiting!

  • Oh Thank you! I was in Baldwin last year. if you go onto the site and look up last years winners im Chelsea Wang, 2nd place.

George plays so well at such a young age. im already 14. I don't know much to say. he's musical, and everything. maybe when you get to the sixteenth notes in the exposition and the recap try not to rush? i guess to me it just sounds a little fast paced. but this is just my humble opinion. everything is so great. your teacher must be very proud. :)

  • very good George. Could you please tell me about your piano - what is it?

  • It is a Steinway L. Thanks for liking it.

  • Ahh, Steinway - even better. Great!

  • Wish I also had a steinway. I believe they are after Fazioli the best piano's.

  • A steinway ? you deserve it !

  • @Pianoloverok

A Steinway L!? Whoa! You deserve a Steinway Piano, they are awesome. What was the cost of the piano?

  • 5 stars are not enough , i give u 6 stars.

  • I've been to one of his concerts in the high school (hudson high) and it was sooo cool we got to meet him and talk to him

  • Unbelievably brilliant playing! You are one of the best pianists I know.

  • George, Wonderful!

  • Another 5 star performance!

  • Bravo!

  • You are a genius :)

  • You played like a professional, George! Bravo!

  • Undeniably a super talent!!!

  • George you are the best!

  • A truly wonderful performance...

  • your musical understanding is way beyond your years. i'm truly envious.

  • Beautiful!!
