I saw Heart in concert before anyone had heard of them, in the old Gold Creek Dome rec center in (I think; the place is long gone now) Woodinville, WA. in around '75 or so...

Wonderfully energetic groove from Michael Derosier! I love how he "suspends" the entire composition right at the cusp of the choruses, and launches the band out of the blocks with perfect tom-tom fills... Nancy's relentless Telecaster riffing adds much to the rhythmic drive, indeed! Ah, that sumptuous red gown of Ann's certainly was an eye-catcher!

Drooling over being able to fire up "Red Velvet Car" in the Mac in the not-too-distant future ! :)

I don't think most people realize how intergal to Heart's sound the layered guitars were. I once heard a cover of this song without the Telecaster ringing in the background and wasn't half as good.
