@macbedope lol. i farmed platinum ingorts with an adamantoise near the save sphere in the middle of gran pulse because it has less HP than any other adamantoises in the game. i would take a chocobo to another aera and come back to farm more platinum ingorts or just save and reload the game after i killed that adamantoise. took me a while to have enough gil. 2/3 hrs every day for a week or two would do.

i used Fang and Snow as damage dealers while Lighting as a support. so i used Lionheart for lighting and weapons with high ATK for Fang and Snow, but see what mission or boss you are going to fight against. just be flexible with your choice.

@luisizsick123 Tales of Vesperia, Star Ocean the last hope, The Last Remnant and Lost Odyssey are very good JRPGs games for me. they all have a different battle system though. so you should check what system suits you before buying them if you havent played them. there are more JRPGs games on PS3 console as well.

i think you need to finish mission 7 to unlock R & D Depot where you can purchase those components and mission 46 Gilgamash Inc for all expensive weapons.
i used Lionheart(Quick Stagger) for lighting, Malboro Wand(Death Skill) for Vanille and Sacrificial Circle(high ATK and MGC but half HP) for snow. i didnt use other characters as soon as i can use L V and S.

Trap is a component you gona need when you upgrade a weapon from 2nd stage to Ultimate stage. you need to MAX 2nd stage level and then use a Trap to upgrade a weapon.

This is the last trophy I needed for platinum until I found out that I had to fully max out the shit. Now I have no gil, and no weapons or accessories. I overwrite my saved datas so now there's no way I can go back. Fuck this.

For the Treasure Hunter achievement, do you have to max out the Tier 3 weapons (ultima weapons) and all the accessories to their max level too, or can you just keep them level 1?
no, you dont need to MAX ULTIMATE WEAPONS. all you need is to unlock the next tier in both weapons and accessories. i used some of the accessories and weaopns during the game. that is the reason why they have a star. sorry to confuse you. thank you.

you should try Star Ocean The Last Hope and Tales of Vesperia if you like to upgrading items and weapons. trust me, you will give up of upgrading them.
DO NOT finish mission 64 if you need Cr cuz you gona transform adamantoise into long gui permenantly. always restart the console if you see long gui in grand pulse or eden. it is a pain but you have no other choices. use chocobo and go to another aera(no need to go deep into the aera. just cross the chapter border and come back to grand pulse) to respawn adamantosies.
check mission 64 video clip from my FFXIII mission playlist. he is easy to beat with a good strategy.

i know that you can dig gold nugget in grand pulse with chocobo but you need time and luck. easiest is to farm gil with sacrifice if you have low level party.
damn, that much ultracompact reactors are expensive.. is there not a way to farm them or do you have to just farm ingot and sell them to buy reactors?

2M gil is not bad. you just need about 1.5M gil if you want to upgrade only 3 weapons if you have 3 Traps already.
2 hrs for 1 trap is too long. try farming ingorts 3/4 times with adamantoise. switch off the console and leave it for 30 secs and then turn it back on and try again if you didnt get any. you should know more about how programme works cuz you are IT student. XD

just around 1.5M each. use fang`s Tample pole for dismantling cuz it gives you 3 Traps. only 2 weapons, one from vanille, gives 3 Traps.
of course, it was trial and error. i checked all weapons base lvl and EXP for the next tier. so you should have a pretty good idea of how many reactors are needed if you had done with one character but sazh is different. 3/4 weapons of his needs more reactors.

How many xp give you one Reactor ? They give me 120.000 and I use a lot less than you. Is there a reduction for tier3 weapons ? Sorry for my bad english :p
cant remember how many EXP but i spent hours of searching for the right amount for each weapons. i might made a few mistakes but it wouldnt be more than 1/2 reactors.
you might have a chance of spawning them after mission 52 but DO NOT finish mission 64 if you want to farm Platinum ingorts with Adamatoises cuz they will transform into long gui and shalong gui after mission 64. even a small one, shalong gui is harder than adamantoises.
@CyberThechSlifer do mission 63 again and again because I know going back and forth is tedious but you always get a gold nugget and you might get platinum ingot I got 2million gil doing this in just 1 hour.

i never used cheat/s. i just spent a lot of time farming platinum ingorts for upgrading guides. i had about 35/40 Platinum Ingorts for this guide. so, i used them for a few weapons and then reload the save for other weapons. took me hours to get it right.

you need to kill Adamantoise and hope that it will drop Trapenzehodron. basically, you have nowhere near killing one of them untill you MAX one or two role level at level 5.
lots of money isnt enough cuz you gona need more than that. 2 M gil per item and you need at least 6. so, dont think that you have enough money cuz you gona need over 9 M Gil to get treasure hunter achievement if only you know how to farm Trap.

yes, you can beat adamantoise with role level 4 but it wont be a good idea to farm platinum ingots though. i spent average 5/6 mins to kill one(the one with 500K HP) with role level 5.
@TheJRPGgamer i went about differently when i was killing adamantoise, i'd use vanille as my party lead for her eidolon cause of its "force protection" so whenever i'd bring it out it would damage its legs to the point where its on the ground, then just use espionage paradigm, synergist, saboteur, saboteur and cast death over and over until it would finally k.o it lol

you should try Star Ocean The Last Hope and Tales of Vesperia if you like to upgrading items and weapons. trust me, you will give up of upgrading them.

yes, you do need to buy all weapons and upgrade 7 of them to 2nd stage and 8th one to ultimate stage.

DO NOT finish mission 64 if you need Cr cuz you gona transform adamantoise into long gui permenantly. always restart the console if you see long gui in grand pulse or eden. it is a pain but you have no other choices. use chocobo and go to another aera(no need to go deep into the aera. just cross the chapter border and come back to grand pulse) to respawn adamantosies.
check mission 64 video clip from my FFXIII mission playlist. he is easy to beat with a good strategy.

@TheJRPGgamer im fully lv up and still cant Kill Long gui + Shaolong Gui (Accept summon and need 1-3try´s) so its realy hard too farm Dark Matter / Trapozehedron accept 1 Adamtoise is left but that is hard too get gil you know fast easy and good GIl maker place???

where did u get the ultracompact reactors? And do u know how to morph helter-specter or something its my current weapon for lightning, i hav it at star lv and iv bought all the the things that transform your weapon but i cant figure out how to transform it, please help

you need to finish mission 52(a guy with a long sword) from Titan Trial to unlock a shop which sell ultracompact reactor.
you cant upgrade any weapons from 2nd stage to ultimate stage before you use Trap.

i know that you can dig gold nugget in grand pulse with chocobo but you need time and luck. easiest is to farm gil with sacrifice if you have low level party.

no, there isnt. why dont you spend a few hours every days farming ingorts like myself? i got enough Gil after a week or two. :)

@TheJRPGgamer yeah I made about 2 mil and 1 trap in 2 hours today I think, I'm not going for the achievement though just trying to get max weapons for lightning, fang and hope, and by the way, thanks for your videos they are really helpful and I love the way your answer people's questions most people on guide videos don't.

2M gil is not bad. you just need about 1.5M gil if you want to upgrade only 3 weapons if you have 3 Traps already.
2 hrs for 1 trap is too long. try farming ingorts 3/4 times with adamantoise. switch off the console and leave it for 30 secs and then turn it back on and try again if you didnt get any. you should know more about how programme works cuz you are IT student. XD

just around 1.5M each. use fang`s Tample pole for dismantling cuz it gives you 3 Traps. only 2 weapons, one from vanille, gives 3 Traps.
of course, it was trial and error. i checked all weapons base lvl and EXP for the next tier. so you should have a pretty good idea of how many reactors are needed if you had done with one character but sazh is different. 3/4 weapons of his needs more reactors.

how nice...i was right cuz i spent bloody ages for upgrading every weapons. XD 3 ultimate weapons are enough already. you should start upgrading accessories cuz they are the keys for success.

The bonus for Death Skill is the same at tier 2 and tier 3, don't use yout trap on this unless this is the weapon you always use.

How many xp give you one Reactor ? They give me 120.000 and I use a lot less than you. Is there a reduction for tier3 weapons ? Sorry for my bad english :p

cant remember how many EXP but i spent hours of searching for the right amount for each weapons. i might made a few mistakes but it wouldnt be more than 1/2 reactors.

you might have a chance of spawning them after mission 52 but DO NOT finish mission 64 if you want to farm Platinum ingorts with Adamatoises cuz they will transform into long gui and shalong gui after mission 64. even a small one, shalong gui is harder than adamantoises.

upgrade fang`s tample pole to ultimate stage with a star and then dismantle it. you will get 3 Traps by doing so.

I just want to ask did u upgrade the Apocalspe by it's TIER 1 weapon or in other words the apocalspe is a TIER 2 weapon of a Tier 1 weapon... im just askin cause i dindnt see it at all in your tier 2 weapon upgrade for lighning and snow... so yea... but if i did just find the apocalspe i just want to know were to find it and how to get it to the start... @aziankidFTW Apocalypse is tier 2 of Organyx. you can get Organyx in Gilgamesh inc. for Lightning it's probably the best weapon.

i never used cheat/s. i just spent a lot of time farming platinum ingorts for upgrading guides. i had about 35/40 Platinum Ingorts for this guide. so, i used them for a few weapons and then reload the save for other weapons. took me hours to get it right.

you need to kill Adamantoise and hope that it will drop Trapenzehodron. basically, you have nowhere near killing one of them untill you MAX one or two role level at level 5.
lots of money isnt enough cuz you gona need more than that. 2 M gil per item and you need at least 6. so, dont think that you have enough money cuz you gona need over 9 M Gil to get treasure hunter achievement if only you know how to farm Trap.

yes, you can beat adamantoise with role level 4 but it wont be a good idea to farm platinum ingots though. i spent average 5/6 mins to kill one(the one with 500K HP) with role level 5.

@TheJRPGgamer i went about differently when i was killing adamantoise, i'd use vanille as my party lead for her eidolon cause of its "force protection" so whenever i'd bring it out it would damage its legs to the point where its on the ground, then just use espionage paradigm, synergist, saboteur, saboteur and cast death over and over until it would finally k.o it lol

@TheJRPGgamer i would vanille for her eidolon, since it has "force protection" and it damages the adamantoise legs to the point where it can't fight back cause its on the floor
then i'll just use the paradigm espionage, synergist, saboteur, saboteur
cast death repeatedly and kill my adamantoise :D

this game is so enoying me because everytime i get to a boss and lose a few times i stop playing for like a month or two then i play it again and beat him on my fifth try. rite now ive just started the wide open space lol :)
