  • @stevinmarin do you speak spanish? hablas español?

  • awesome dad

  • @SuperWeaponking Pine boards. Plywood would work fine, too.

  • I wish my dad would do something like that..

  • lol this video is amazing

  • and the guy has a woodshop in his living room?

  • i like your voice vary funny

  • Who films you?

  • Hi, I've been making bandsaw boxes for years, (Just watched yor video)and need to see a video on how to attach the felt inside the drawer. Nice guitar stand btw !

  • To be honest you could make a good guitarist, but to be really honest you are rubbish at carpentry and design stick to what you know best that's learning the Axe, and that's not for cutting wood, Axe means guitar.

  • @pimple22 Haha! I think you are right!

  • cool stand...and dont worry everyone sucks at guitar at first, just practice practice practice and you would soon find yourself thinking whats better? carpenting or guitar =)

  • You deal with Youtube assholes exceptionally well. That said, great videos!

  • Nice, attractive, simple and sturdy. Gotta say though; I'd never trust that neck support thing on a busy stage. I'd make it deeper; the neck could be bumped out so easily. Peace.

  • THANK YOU (: and i have the same guitar as your son :S

  • On what planet do you live on? Basic tools? Are you having a giggle?

  • I just love your videos, and I don't even have a workshop. You rock!

  • I like your style!

  • the first song i learned was Stairway To Heaven!!!

  • Does anyone happen to know whether felt will damage a nitro (lacquer) finish over time?

  • i have some questions, would it be possible to make this using 5/8'' particle board/ mdf, or would it be better to get pieces of wood like in this video?

also, approximatly, how deep are the holes that are drilled on 4:53

  • LOL You sound like a cool dad who doesn't play guitar, but talks like a cool rockstar :P

  • awesome job

  • I love the stand. Simple- Useful - and handcrafted. My son just started playing the guitar. I can knock your concept out in a day or weekend. Love your site.

  • it's a great job ,and the guitar is fine

  • dude this design is B.A.! i almost gave up on my D.I.Y. home studio but after i saw this you gave me hope :D

    some suggestions if i may;

Some of us viewers may not have the machinery you have.. such as the router.. it'll be awesome if you could make a video especially for those lacking such contraptions! I want to learn how to come up with the same results you get from the router and cutter.. and what not. Sorry im not being specific.. just finished taking in the information!

  • better than my guitar stand, but I made a nifty bass guitar stand.

I'll use that idea for my banjo stand.

  • nice guitar stand dude

  • Dude you rock..

  • @MastahChief101 I learned to play NIB and Wizard before anything (nothing)else(matters)

  • I love playin guitar Nice idea man! I've been playing for about 18 years I love it. My First song I learned was Knocking on heavens door by bob dylan and my 2nd was Sultans of Swing.

  • Great job!

  • Actually, my first song I learned is a song called Julie Ann.

  • this video was rad. nice work.

  • that was my 1st song

  • you suck at guitar !!

naw nigga my first piece was asturias

  • nice stand but those aint basic tools

u need to be a carpenter to own all those tools

  • Thanks heaps for sharing your knowledge! Nice to know Dads can still be cool~ =)

  • great video. I personally do not have the tools nessesary to build one, but my construction teacher can let me use the shop at school, :D

  • i like your guitar stand its very creative and yet cool. i can play the guitar but i can't do that. its better than the 30$ ones i found on a guitar shop. how much money did it take you to make it (with all the wood, and paint etc)?

  • realy gr8 work sir.........i like dat

  • do you know any othe way of making one for an acoustic guitar like not wood because i don't have access to that (I'm 13) please help thankyou

  • haha im gonna make that in school

  • no one is the first intro i ever learned

  • @RT101894 Oh, you misunderstand...I didn't make it.

    I only made the stand.

  • @RT101894 Gotcha. I'll make note of that.

  • @RT101894 theres no such thing as a "shit guitar" only a "shit" guitar player and he never said he was a guitar player

  • @fruitycamel123 not true at all.

  • @RT101894 That guitar is a parker fly. one of the most expensive guitars in the world. and then I mean EXPENSIVE.

  • @tjompiskompis that's not a parker fly buddy

  • @tjompiskompis nice try though

  • @RyanTritiniMusic You mean?

  • @RT101894 it dosent matter. ive seen people shred on guitars like that

  • @RT101894 dont be an ass, thats probably his sons first guitar. Most people dont know what they really want in their first guitar so they get a cheap one.

  • it needs to be cushy too

  • Ironman is the first song everyone learns

  • Now make a guitar lol

  • Thats great !

  • Nice :)

You scared me a little as you talk really loud haha

  • @IluvBlackSabbath That's nothing...you should hear me try to play Sabbath!

  • yes you suck at guitar

  • awesome do i dont have half of those tools

  • Cool project! What kind of guitar is that?

  • Nice work as always mister!!

    The playing though......... : )

  • nice guitar stand....I'm in the middle of building my guitar...check it out....NICE videos

  • that's pretty cool

  • Great idea - and more important, doable! Thanks! I'm busy on bird houses right now, but this might be my next project!

  • YOU ROCK!!! lol brilliant project steve, will give it a go

  • Smokin !

  • it is crazy jejej good bye

  • Cool project! You know what might look cool for an alternative to felt is if you have some fairly thick leather scraps lying around, you could stitch up some sleeves. I always love how leather trim looks on wooden projects.

  • heY STEVE, please make video on CHESS pieces, i wanna show my dad how he can make it !!

  • Stevin, that's very cool! It's great how you incorporated the form of the guitar body into the design. It's obviously custom & it looks awesome.

You didn't mention this, but it's very clever how the scallop on the front base gives clearance for the volume knob. Another plus to using the guitar body shape.

The only thing I can think of to spiff it up would be to put a crest on the neck support that looks like the guitar's neck head. Just a thought.

Again, you did a great job.

  • Coming from a guitar player and a part-time maker of things myself... you'll want to line the neck support with felt too. Some of the paint will transfer to the neck of the guitar and you (actually your son) won't want that.

Nice piece of work, it looks great.

  • Funky Chicken

  • Looks cool:D
