Nah, more like a propaganda movie. MC and BoB (clans as you call them) where friends for a long time but when it looked like BoB was going to be whiped out by a bunch of other "clans" MC switched sides and made this propaganda movie about it. BoB pulled through though and this movie is all that remains of MC. :P

Every ship you loose in this game is gone for good, as the money you paid for it and it's fitting.

actually.. its true, but someone told me, (or i read it, dont remember it well) that because of the absolute silence, pilots were going insane, so to amuse them, and keep them healty in space, they´ve implemented sound effects in the ships. could u imagine passing years in space without earing a thing ? i would start talking to myself just to hear something..

I know this comment's old, but I just had to answer. There's actually an explanation for this. When the Jovians made the Capsuleer system, they found that the pilots were disconcerted by the lack of sound, and added a sound simulator that reacted to all visual input, and simulated sound as if it weren't a vacuum.

One of the most impressive EVE videos ive ever seen, gives me shivers everytome i watch it :) and i believe the subscription is $14 a month and if you have the time to sink into it its well worth it, it does have a higher learning curve than other MMO's but trust me if you get hooked you wont regret it, my only suggestion is while playing dont forget to eat or do "one more mission" before going to the toilet ;P

Problem is. If you are less than 20 years old, you'd probably get pissed off after a month of playing. Why? This game takes A LOT of time on skilling. I mean, being able to do pvp? I think it's atleast a year of sitting in the base and training skill. It's not for kids, that's what it is.

theres plenty, but most pilots avoid minmatar because of the complexity of getting the right skills, rigs, etc. matari ships and weapons are very skill intensive and require alot of crosstraining, moreso than the other races. also, matari are designed to be hit and fade. fast and hard to hit.

minmatar are good but do best in groups. a gang of tempests with the right gang booster generates capacitor from nowhere, so its obvious theyre meant for use with group tactics in mind. theyre not soloists

yeah, u can get all of those ships. Most of those ships where Battleships from all the 4 races and a couple of carriers and dreadnoughts in there too. Some fleet battle are like thats. some battle can range from 100 ships to 1000 plus fighting.

tehcheeseman, these battles are like the movie said, in the North, West, East, South. Meaning Sovereign Space where ppl control what goes on. Look at EVE map, pick the point farthest on the bottom and try to get there, you will end up finding ppl that have fought in battles like this. Except they'll be after you.

Tehcheeseitman: These battles take place in 0.0 security, and this war was specifically in period basis. You can find it on the map, and like wertdman said, you will find the pilots too - firing at you in large numbers.

If you want to see a current large-scale war, read news on the BoB Maximum Damage invasion, and head down to the Lonetrek region. Same problem applies though - you will loose your ship and be podded.
