Romney said he'd do more for gays, not for gay marriage. He said that before marriage was ever really an issue. Through the course of human history things have been believed that we now know to be wrong, which re-examination has to be forced. That was what Dr. King was all about. ron paul is the best man...in the beginning I watched romney and then i realized all his speak is political robotic jargon, someone told me about Ron Paul I checked him out and it was amazing to see what an anti politician he is.....Ron Paul all the way!!!!!

I,m a Vietnam Vet 1SG. Ben one salute the uniform. Your attitude about NCO is what I would expect from a LTJG who is still wet behind the ears. As for Romney & son's not serving in the military so what! They are Americans who obey the law pay taxes and have all the rights of any American. I have a son who served in the army and one who has not. I see no difference in them. They both love our country. We all serve in many ways. Without respect and with a salute.

Who's the career politician, Romney or Ron Paul? That's right, Paul. You only have to look at the '911 truthers' and other Paul supporters to see what a real whackjob he is.
He's a pacifist loser, whose isolationist ideals would drive globally competitive companies out of America. Only the inexperienced are gullible enough to support this misguided nobody.

To the person who is arguing about African Americans in the mormon church. Through the course of human history things have been believed that we now know to be wrong, which re-examination has to be forced. That was what Dr. King was all about. How about the fact that Governor George Romney was one of the only governors, if not the only governor, to march with Dr. King over police action in Selma, Alabama, leading a march of thousands against racism?

That was in the 1960's obviously and the senior Romney was also a mormon. Even in the 1960's Romney's religion was not called into question during the 1968 primary, even Dr. King and for a short while he was considered the front runner or a serious contender.

I am not a mormon, nor will I ever be. I believe in a different doctrine than they do. I excercise that voluntary right you speak of. But I think to accuse Governor Romney of being a racist because of something his church re-examined in his lifetime is like accusing, well I guess, John Kennedy of following the pope rather than American laws because the catholic belief is that the pope is infallible

Is there a data statistic (or means of compiling one) of how many mormons marched with King available from an independent source? I would venture to guess it would be a vastly low number regardless in light of the church's racist policies.

As far as George's marching with King goes, good for him. I could see why he would want to politically save face in light of the fact that during that era in the mormon church's history, blacks weren't allowed mormon priesthood authority. By the way was George's buddy Bruce McConkie or any number of other mormon bigots marching with King? I thought not.

I'm the person posting that has a problem with the racist mormon policies and doctrines and how that is one of a littany of reasons not to vote for Romney, not just about blacks in the church per se, let's make that point clear. There are so many more reasons not to vote for him beyond his church's racist doctrine (flip flopping on a number of issues both political and moral, for example). This is just the tip of a major iceburg.

How stupid is Mitt Romney? Mitt want to expand our Military. Yet Mitt and his kids refuse to serve in the Military. Mitt wants to mandate the computer manufacturers install "filters for kids." That will cost billions and the same problem can be solved with a downloadable plugin on a website for about 25K a year. Mitt has no respect for spending yet he wants to "strengthen our economy" by spending more money than ever. Can you say crackhead with a three leg stool?

I agree with you that Mitt made Bain an economic powerhouse. He rocked the Winter Olympics. He's very well educated. He's a coward. He has changed his position on abortion and gay rights to pander to a conservative base. He lied about being a "life long" hunter. He is advocating a massive expansion of government. No Ben, your statement that Romney is "a coward" doesn't hold up. He took a pro-life stance and decided for it in every piece of legislation that crossed his desk in Massachusetts DESPITE the outcry from the majority there. He was never for gay marriage, and he never claimed to be a big game hunter. Your propensity to distort the truth makes you a liar.

What was it that he said about raising taxes? I can foreward you the videos. And what makes you believe that he is not doing the same exact thing he did before in order to into the White House? Also Romney took a page out of the Bill Clintons Arkansas play-book when he was Governor of Massachusetts. He didn't really balance the budget in the traditional sense. He raised taxes to meet shortfall. Not the state income tax. But he raised licensing and permit fees exponentially. That's how he met the his budget. That's not conservative at all. That's how the Democrats do business.

Romney closed a corporate loopholes on taxes and fees, and he reversed a $3billion deficit. The Democrats raise taxes accross the board, which is why Deval Patrick's reign as Governor has led to new deficits.

Mitt Romney raised taxes. Just the same way the Bill Clinton did in Arkansas. Mike Huckabee did the same thing. All of them said they would not raise taxes and all of them lied.
